I think there should be. Before I used to read spoiilers all the time, and then because of exams and all that I didnt have time so when I started watchign soaps again, because I hadnt read the spoilers, I found it so much more enjoyable not knowing what was going to happen. Does anyone agree?? I think it should be banned because then everyone can enjoy it

I know lots of people who havent a clue whats going to happen in the soaps.

They dont go on forums or read soap mags.

I always know whats coming up and Id rather that..doesn't bother me in slightest as it means Im watching whereas when I didnt know I used to miss the good stuff!

I told myself a few weeks ago I would try and avoid the spoilers but couldn't help myself and ended up looking! I do think it ruins the surprise a bit sometimes though!

Dont read the spoilers then, even if someone posts it....its our personal choice.Sometimes we like to know what happens thats why we type in the thread that it contains spoilers.

I would love to be able to just watch a soap without knowing whats going to happen, but I don't have the willpower not to get the soap magazines or read the spoilers. I'd love to not know whats going to happen but I don't have the willpower to do that.

Why should it be banned just because some people don't like reading them? There are people who do want to know what happens. If people don't want to they needn't read them.

I don't know about a ban, but there is certainly no need for them.
Those who want to know can very easily read up to nearly 3 weeks ahead on ITV, I'm not sure about BBC as I never watch their stuff, but there are advance spoilers the DS soap section.
Isn't posting spoilers for further ahead than the DS ones against the rules, anyway? It used to be, maybe not now.

its not against the rules as long as you have a source

What about a sub-forum for them? because when I come on to the soaps forum and I see "MASSIVE EASTENDERS SPOILER OOOOMMMMGGG!!" I cant help but have a look even though I dont want to, if that makes any sense

appently it took a year for them to get a dr who sub forum in the cult section so i think that is unlikely lol

I love knowing what is going to happen in a programme or a soap.

BUT I also love the surprise. I remember a long time ago when Dawn died in Hollyoaks, I didn;t have a clue and it was such a shock. Also recently when Grace died in Hollyoaks that was a surprise too, I hadn't seen any spoilers.

It is nice to have a surprise, but I can't resist looking, lol.

Oh right. I've seen the 'link your source' at the top of the page often enough.

Now anything like that I wouldn't bother with. It's either old news, totally ridiculous and made up by one of the mags, or something like 'xxyyzz goes for a walk in the rain'.

Simple, if you don't want to know, don't read. No-one is forcing you too, have a little willpower! I personally love to read spoilers for certain programmes, but for other shows - like The Apprentice, American Idol etc, i'd never read who won before i'd seen the show.

i think spoilers a quite good as [well i do] as it helps keep me watching but if you don't want to know what happens don't visit forums that potentially give stuff away

I wish there was.
I really can't help but read spoilers, and know all the storylines months in advance, but I just know it will be a lot better if I was taken by surprise. However, I don't have the self-control to stop reading them.

I LIKE spoilers.

People don't have to read them if they'd rather not know.
