Msn use with Vodafone's PAYG bundle?
I have msn on my phone and want to know would I be able to access the service if I used Vodafone's PAYG bundle (the £7.50 one)?

Vodafone do a rather nifty MSN ultility that can be downloaded on certain handsets, it costs £3 per month for unlimited messageing! Sounds good to me.

Hi Talizman,
It's great that you want to take full advantage of the internet service on your phone. Vodafone don't at present offer a data bundle for Pay As You Talk customers. The £7.50 per month bundle is only available for Pay monthly (Contract) customers; it a great package and the inclusive allowance has just been increased to 500 MB per month. Pay As You Talk customers can take advantage of the daily rate, you simply pay £1 for the first 0.5-15MB of data that you use per day, you're then charged £2 per MB there after. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask. Tekgirl Vodafone UK |

Well aren't you the rude man. I think its pretty obvious that if there is no PAYG data bolt-on, there is no way to tell if MSN would or would not work under it.

Here are details of the Vodafone Messenger service http://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatc...pageID=MI_0042 but it doesn't specify if it's available on PAYG.
I do however know that Orange Messanger is available to PAYG and PAYM customers for £4 a month http://www.orange.co.uk/communicate/owl/ Robert |

![]() Seeing as part of my question was regarding MSN use of Vodafone, it would have been nice to have had it answered, seeing as Voda's outsourced staff in Conduit have no idea. |

I have no idea why it shouldn't it is just another use of data. The thing you have to work out is how much it will cost. So if you use between 0.5-15MB daily that is going to cost you about £30 a month just for accessing the internet. Whichever, way you try and spin that, that is not a great deal. At the moment, if you really want mobile internet on your phone regularly, which is quite possible with Facebook mobile and all that then you really have to consider biting the bullet and getting a contract, which is exactly what the networks want and I think are going to do by charging people through the nose on PAYG to get people on these unlimited deals on a contract.

Except that most other networks offer PAYG data bundles.
