I think it's the perfect job for him As a guest presenter he won't have the stress of trying to carry the entire show - something he has always said he couldn't imagine himself doing.

Smaller slots seem to work out well for former housemates. Just look at how well Allison's doing and while Craig might not have such a high profile job as Kate, he's happy with what he's doing and not getting slated for it.

Well I believe Jon said something not so long ago, along the lines of "I don't want to be recognised walking down the street my xmas". Hmmm, so yeah, you present a tv science show, yeah ok Jon. I think the warning signs about "I just wanna get back to a normal life ASAP" Jon's true desires were starting to show when he ended up appearing on RI:SE a week after BB was all over. You could see it when he walked back into the house, he loves it, he's as seduced by it as any of them. So what if he's gone back to his normal job, presenting tv in your spare time too is not going back to a normal life.

I think it's fascinating that so many Jon fan's saw all the other BB housemates as wannabes (which I agree with), yet just fail to see it in their hero.
THEY WERE ALL WANNABES, Jon included. If you go on big brother and don't think you're gonna become famous, then you're stupid. If you're not stupid, then you must desire fame. I'm not saying it's wrong, and I'm not saying Jon boosting interest in science is a bad thing. I'm just saying stop looking at Jon with the rose tinted spectacles that you take off when looking at the other HMs, and treat his "I'm no wannabe" claims as the same bad joke the other HMs uttered.

Other HMs - regular wannabes
Cameron - religous tv wannabe
Jon - science tv wannabe

I don't view Jon through rose-tinted glasses - nobody's perfect

Good luck to him for getting something out of BB. I respect him for having the good sense to realise that being in BB doesn't immediately qualify you to present your own show. I don't mind housemates who take on smaller presenting roles and learn the ropes - I just get sick of the ligging and the exercise videos

I actually e-mailed the producers of this show on Jun 21st saying Mr Tickle would be perfect for it - so if you're reading this Jon, you owe me a pint!

It's on Sky, I hardly think that's peak time viewing that's going to lead to him being mobbed on the street.

Sky One shows usually get viewing figures in the hundreds of thousands at most.

Good luck to him, he's keeping his options open and is seemingly being very sensible about the whole thing (what else would you expect?).

Compare that with the likes of:-

Justine, holding out for a TV career rather than returning to her job in a Toy Store. (I suppose there's always an ugly sister in Panto for her to fall back on).

Sissy, went back to work, then quit in the hopes of developing her own clothing range.

I don't begrudge any of them any success they can get from their time on BB (so long as Justine is kept off our screens).

It will be things like putting various chemicals down a toilet to make it erupt like Mount Vesuvius. ”

Lets hope Justine is on the programme too, he can try it out on her.

ps. Yes , I know i signed the Justine petition - but it'd be worth it for this one last time

I guess that as with most programmes they'll just film all his pieces back to back so really it might just take one day.
No big thing and something nice for him to get involved with.

I can see Jon being a decent person to come back to in future years as a BB pundit, more likely to tell the truth anyway.

I got the impression they were glad to see the back of him on R:SE.

Based on the fact that you don't like him I take it bystander........I get the impression they're glad to get rid of Kate at the moment...probably for the same reason.

True, I'm not his greatest fan Mes but that isn't how I arrived at my impression, it was based on the way Iain and Kate were talking the other day. Maybe it was just a wind up...........how are we to know.

I've been keeping a low profile for the last few weeks, just keeping an eye on the posts, was so disapointed at end of big brother and result, but this has cheered me up no end. I had to post on such great news! I was hoping he'd be persuaded to do something on telly. Can't wait to see it!

I would if I could but my videos playing up too, keeps recording without sound, was gutted not to record final night etc. Will definately be watching Celebdaq tonight, though are you sure its tonight as I saw him on there (not as one of 2 guests) about 2-3 weeks Ago. They had a clip of him in diaryroom chair lookalike talking about various celebs and news stories.

As sure as I can be ... his agent passed the date to me around two weeks ago as I am helping updating news items on his site.

OK, thanx, will definately be tuned in, can't wait to see him again. I'm beginning to worry about myself, bordering on the obsessive fan level. I keep telling myself it's only a tv show.
