Im almost enjoying certain posters constantly bitching about one of the candidates and then remarking how "other people are obessed".

Anway on the topic in hand;

I think perhaps it wasn't a great idea to intercede when Helene was suggesting that they made up but if she felt she was lying then I see no problem with her intervention.

I was more annoyed that Alex (and others before him) got off lightly while Helene took a full broadside from Adrian, the Panel and the audience.

While you can never be sure but she did say she was coming on the forums and a few days later that thread appeared.

Those who believe Lucinda should have borne her disagreement with Helene in gracious silence, have the chance to practise what they preach.

They can show Lucinda an example of gracious silence.

Gracious silence would have meant that only Helene had the chance to get her story across. Is that fair and reasonable? Why is it bad manners to say how it is from your point of view? I thought Raef showed bad manners to both of them by refusing to comment. He couldn't be accused of favouritism for speaking the truth, and most people seem to think he's a nice, reasonably honest and objective person based on the way he intervened in the Sara debate.

I'm sure as long as he had backed up Lucinda's story that would have been the case on here, however you people would have been baying for his blood had he instead backed up Helene, so please dispense with the pretense on that score. There was not one single thing that was bad mannered about his decision to stay out of it. The only bad mannered person was Lucinda for trying to drag him in to her petty little fight. And I speak as someone who held Lucinda with a great deal of regard during the show.

One could equally say those who didn't should of kept quiet.

In truth neither posistion is right or wrong.

This thread is heading the same way as the others so Im withdrawing from any debate on the matter and suggest everyone else does.

Given the fact that one did not win at the expense of the other, but merely one was 'evicted' earlier than the other in the opinion of some, I don't even see why we are debating the issue.

IMO, neither one comes across as 'better' than the other. I won't go into the long list of reasons why I could 'defend' either of them as they don't need it.

You mean in the way that Lucinda had her chance to say what she liked about the other competitors the previous week with out heckling from the floor?

Where she took the oportunity to be very snide about Helene.


Tell you what.

You get yourself onto the audience of a non ad hoc audience participation programme and cause a scene as Lucinda tried to do and see how long you last.

There are times when you get to have your say and times when you don't.

The format of YF is one where te audience do not make gratuitous interuptions to the proceedings.

None of the other candidates had to suffer such ill manered outbursts so why should Helene?

That was not the case when Lucinda induged in her petty outburst.

She was the only person in the whole of the series who did such a thing.

IMO Lucinda should have utilized her chance in the you're fired show episode 11. She could have said whatever she wanted at that point.

Having said that, I would have no problem if she said "As a project manager, you could have been more supportive especially that I told you that I am not the most technical person".

Lucinda simply failed to use the right words and involving Raef made it look worse.

Untrue, as the past candidates in the audience were clearly miked up.

Given Lucinda's obvious negative reaction I reckon Adrian may of invited her to comment anyway, she jumped the gun and didnt wait for the invitation.

You are right, the time to bring up points like that were on her own YF'd programme now on others. She did say on her own show that anyone she had a disagreement with she had spoken to afterwards and all problems were sorted so her outburst went against what she had previously said.

Trying to involve Raef in her pettiness was a really bad move and I am so glad he had the manners to ignore her. Especially as the voiceover on the photo task clearly states Lucinda was the only one who had training. She refused to sell or to use the camera so what else was helene meant to do with her ... give her a day off?

Isn't it a distint possibility that people saw comments/actions (such as the `to camera` moments or bits were they were not present) on the aired show that they were not aware of at the time?

Some people might still feel to urge to retaliate. For example Lucinda was not aware Alex had called her `poison', none of them would of known Helene called them all gobshites.
