SPOILER--HOH competition thread
HOH competition has the six HGs standing in a cage. The floor of the cage has narrow strips for the HGs to stand on. HGs cannot step through the cage to the ground or they are eliminated. HGs may not leave the cage to eat, drink, or for anything else they might need to do.
Once two players are eliminated they will move to a cage large enough for four players and the game will continue. When two more players retire then the final two will move to the smallest cage to determine a winner. The competition began at about 6:55 pm BB time at the end of the live eviction show. Updates to come...if you want to know. |

8:35 pm BB time Wednesday update
1:40 into competition. All six HGs still standing. The catered meals normally delivered three hours after the live show arrived just under two hours early tonight, but hunger pangs haven't set in yet. |

8:55 pm BB time update--Eviction spoiler below
Justin is resting--almost taking a nap--on the hammock while the other six HGs continue in the first cage after two hours. EVICTION RESULT . . . . . . . . . Nathan was evicted by a unanimous 5-0 vote. |

9:25 pm BB time update--2 1/2 hours into competition
All six players still standing. Jack and Erica have assured both Jun and Ali that they are safe from nomination. Ali probably feels more comfortable with that than Jun, but neither have decided to call it a night just yet. |

9:55 pm BB time--3 hours in
Not much has changed--six players in. There was apparently a camera malfunction, and the producers had to call Justin out of the hottub to initiate repairs. |

No change and not much talking, so the producers turn on the recorded BB voice: "Hello, houseguests. This is a reminder that tomorrow is the food competition." Jun is threatening to answer the call of nature any minute now. |

All six still standing. Justin still in hottub watching the proceedings. Jun asked for Jack's shirt which he graciously allowed her to borrow. Jun then used the shirt to help preserve what little modesty she might have left as she finally gave in to nature's call. |

r151996, thanks for the updates! I can't believe they're all still there-I went to bed thinking it'd be all over by the time I got up. Fairplay to them though, I would have been gone within 30 minutes.

11:15 pm BB time--all still standing
If E4 joins the live feeds at this point, the tail end--no pun intended--of Ali answering nature's call will be the first thing shown. Jack volunteered his shirt again, and it came back a lttle worse for wear than when Jun borrowed it earlier. At 11:10 pm the recorded announcement about Thursday's food competition was replayed. |

Robert is inside with Justin. Negotiations are in full swing with Jack telling everyone in the cage they are safe. No secret that Jack's nominees would be Justin and Robert. Jee declines at the moment since he says he is a man of honor. Jun almost wants to go, but just hasn't quite yet. Jack wants to give Erica the honor of winning, so one else wants to leave just yet. |

11:34 pm BB time
Jun leaves the cage after 4 hours and 39 minutes once she is told by everyone in the cage that she is absolutely safe. The remaining four--Erica, Jack, Ali, and Jee--move into the second cage and the game continues. |

11:55 pm Wednesday BB time--5 hours into competition
Robert's sudden departure from the cage earlier was apparently the result of a migraine headache that started earlier in the day. The strain of standing in the cage for over four hours aggravated his headache to the point of being unbearable. Robert has felt too sick to eat since exiting the cage, but as BB USA fans would probably guess the same cannot be said of Jun. No real negotiations have occurred since the four moved into the second cage, so the game may last for a while yet. |

12:15 am Thursday BB time--5 hours and 20 minutes
Serious negotiations going now. Erika is determined to win and has regularly stood for 8-12 hour bartending shifts, so she is nowhere near giving up. Jee is hurting, but wants to make it appear respectable for Robert and Justin. Jee wants to be in the final cage with Erika, with Ali and Jack leaving first. All three promise to keep their agreement secret. Jee wants about thirty minutes in the last cage with Erika before he will give Erika the win. Jack and Ali discuss leaving a few minutes apart for appearances. No movement just yet. |

12:50 am BB time Thursday--5 hours 55 minutes
Jack and Erica have been whispering to each other on one side of the cage. Jee and Ali have been doing the same thing on the other side of the cage. Any thought of a quick resolution might be gone now. Jee still looks to be in the worst shape of the four players left. Jack has recounted his stories of standing for eight hours a night for two weeks straight and of another two-week stint with no sleep except in a car. The cage just isn't quite tall enough for Jack or Jee, but Erica and Ali don't have the same problem. Justin and Jun have been watching from the hammock. |

I doubt Jee could back out on a deal once made, but for Justin's sake I hope he would. Jee places a lot of importance on his honour and I don't think he gives his word easily. Besides Erika looks like she was born in that cage
I really can't believe Ratbert went like that. For half a million dollars I'd have to at death's door to walk out the cage and as Jee said he's playing for the team not just himself. But Ratbert knows the likely evictee is going to be Justin and I think he threw it. I so hope that something happens and it is the Rat that goes. |

Robert didn't look well a few minutes after he left the cage. Justin said Robert took four pills for his headache, so I don't believe he was faking it.
The problem for Robert if he and Justin are nominated by Erika or Jack is that Justin or Jee would defintely veto Justin off and Robert would likely be evicted. A veto of Justin by Ali might also lead to the same result. |

The comp started about 6:55 pm Wednesday BB time, 6 hours and 19 minutes ago as I post this.
No change BTW, just more whispering within each of the pairs. |

1:17 am BB time--6 hours 22 minutes
After Jack assured Jee he would only be up as a pawn if a veto was used, Jack left the cage. Erika, Ali, and Jee now remain in the second cage. |

1:22 am BB time--6 hours 27 minutes
After some extensive whispered negotiations among all three left, Jee left the cage saying he couldn't do it any more. Ali and Erika advance to the final cage. 1:24 am BB time Ali and Erika make an agreement and Ali leaves the cage Erika wins HOH after 6 hours and 29 minutes. |

This endurance game at just under 6 1/2 hours broke the previous US BB endurance game record by over two hours. The old record at over four hours was the key hold in the first stage of last year's final three-part HOH competition.
The agreements at the end of the game apparently were that Jee and Ali will not use the veto this week to save either Justin or Robert. I believe that Erika and Ali also agreed not to nominate each other, but I'm not sure of any timeframe involved. |
