Cameron at premiere
Doobles
14-08-2003
Did anyone else think it slightly surreal on last night's "Diaries" to see Cameron prominently holding those tickets for the premiere of "The Man Who Sued God" ?

LOL it was just slightly. I wonder what he thought of it. I saw it last year and it doesn't strike me as the kind of film Cameron would like... Plus I think there were some sex scenes between Billy Connelly's character and the Australian woman..bet he loved those!

He is a man don't forget and he did have Stiff on his lap. Work out the tension emanating from him. I think he is a closet sex cymbol and a darkened cinema will unleash him.
PS How uncomfortable is she with all the attention?

Steph never entered BB for the attention and has done close to zero, media-wise, compared to the other ligger bastards that BB4 spawned. Leave her be.

Re: Cameron. I found it hilarious to see a supposed devout Christian enter the Darwin Centre of the Natural History Museum and debate (word used loosely) with Gos whether T-Rex was a predator or scavenger.

Creationism is as real as your own BS persona, Shameron.

Darwin's theories and christianity are not mutually exclusive !!!!! Cameron is no sham - he is someone who has different views and background to you, maybe, and you find that hard to compute.
He has a sense of humour so I am sure he had no problem enjoying the film as well.
Ps I agree about your steph comments!

are you sure about that ? I thought they were.

Re Cameron going to Billy Connolly movie. It wouldnt matter what Billy was up to in the movie, for Scots, Billy Connolly comes before anything. He makes a mockery of Camerons beliefs but this is the thing about Christianity, people tailor it to suit. Camerons willing to tow the Christianity line but not if it means not being associated with Billy Connolly.

I am a christian and have no problem with evolution as for me the 6 days that God took to create the world can be seen as a simplification [ie God created the world but the process could have been 6 billion years]. For many christians interpretations can be different and for me the central theme of the bible is Jesus died for our sins, he preached a message of love, repentance, and forgiveness.

About the people tailoring it to suit - that is offensive to anyone who follows the christain faith and strives to put following God at the centre of their life. It isn't something I and millions of others dip into and chop and change. I am sure if Cameron was asked to choose between Billy C. and faith, God would be his 100% choice, but like many christians we are quite happy to take films like this with a pinch of salt and see it for what it is. If Cameron had refused to go and see it he would put accused of being an humourless prat. He just can't win - or maybe that is the problem for some here HE DID WIN !!!!

Too true. I wasn't laughing with Cameron during the reward room night with Ray - I was laughing *at* him - and cringing at the same time.

Hi Northgirl. I wouldnt be surprised if Cameron especially wanted to go to the Billy Connolly premiere. It wouldnt surprise me if its the only premiere he goes too.

The problem with the Bible (it seems to me, not knowing much about it) is the Old Testament.

The New Testament can possibly be explained (altho a bit hazy) because we know Jesus really did live. The Old Testament just seems like made up stuff the whole way through. I was saying tailored and I would say you were tailoring the bit about God making the world in 6 days with the theory (I will put `theory` since it seems to be still referred to as that and I was picked up on this earlier) of evolution being 6 billion years or whatever.

Anyway Cameron certainly got us all talking about Christianity. Out of all the Big Brothers, he is something like 7th most popular out of the votes on finals night (Brian, Craig, Anna, Helen, Kate & Jonny all beat him on votes) but in the end he won this years show easy.

A lot of the New Testament was made up as well

I think the problem with the bible is that they had their story all sorted out with old testament to make them feel they understood the world and also had control over people, especially women, and also it meant cosy lives for the preachers, and the Son of God was going to arrive someday too blah blah.

But they didnt think he would arrive so they were in the clear. The religious mafia was runing nicely.

When he did arrive (if it was him) they didnt much know about it, then when the Gospels came out and after maybe a century or whatever, they decided to go along with the Jesus stuff and clumped that stuff in with the old testament like a cut & shut job (2 different cars welded together).

This is why its all a bit of a mismatch. The question is , how long will they continue to proscribe the Old Testament ?

Here endeth the lesson

It's funny you should say that lol. I read somewhere Billy Connelly started going on about religion in front of the audience then started on Cameron as well for being the winner of Big Brother. I'm sure Cam still loves him though...
