Interesting, hope that's as far as 'public involvement' goes though.

The public should get to decide the winner I think.

Not really sure if its a good or bad thing......
It doesn't seem like they really need to be involved in the evictions because they play such a minor and mostly no part in the show anyways. I don't really watch the evicitions that much anyways, i jus see the highlights and whos leaving lol and HOH task. I usually skip out the interview and such. |

I think this is a good idea. Bring back some public involvement, but in the right way, rather than a lame America's Player twist. America's Choise is OK, but not anything where the public have direct control over the game.

Good call! Although definitely limit the public involvement there...the American public has a tendency to have really bad taste in reality TV contestants. If there's a jolly fat guy amongst the contestants, he's guaranteed a win.

the crowd must be very strict then...could influence the jury and all that.

Hmmm - six pre-jury evictions, seven jurors, final two - if there's 15 houseguests from day one we'll know that's right. Incidentally - I hope this isn't a damp squib. The pre-jury boots are likely to be the least interesting people (Kaysar from BB6 and Jase from BB5 notwithstanding). Then when they start to get to the folks who we care about they shut off the audience. |

Nah in BB they tend to support the best housemates, Will, Janelle, Evil Dick (yeah he was an arsehole but a better winner than the bible bashers).
I doubt I'll tune in this year, my first full series (BB9) was quite disappointing (yes, I know it was seen as a bad series, but it wasn't just the housemates or the house, it was the format in general). Although I will try and see clips of the live crowds (or studio audience if it's indoors like the finale). |

70% of americans are born again christians (or something like that) so if they're reading, you've just offended almost all of them lol.
I think, like most countries, Americans can get caught up by the hoopla surrounding certain reality contestants, but usually there has to be something worthwhile behind it. It's at least not any worse then the UK, where the last winner was Brian the idiot, and everyone knew from the beginning Pete would win BBUK 7. Looking at winners of public voted shows like American Idol and Dancing With the Stars there is usually some valid reason behind those that make it to the top 2 or 3. I don't think there will be public input into the evictions or winner, but I like the idea of an audience for evictions even though it won't be anything like the spectacle and excitement of the UK shows. |

![]() The American fans feel the same, they hated Amber/Jameka and co for all their bible bashing, their favourite housemate was Evel Dick...the atheist. And same with BB9, they hated the God Squad of Natalie and co, their favourite housemate was Crazy James...the atheist.

I have seen the American Big Brother since the very beginning and I think that the public should have more involvement in the show.
In Big Brother 1 USA there was only one phone number to call instead of one per housemate making it easy to flood the lines. Second there was nothing in place to prevent fraudulent voting (ie. One housemate's hometown flooded the line in their favor) Plus most of the housemates got along and each week it was the most controversial to be nominated in the first place. Big Brother 2 introduced America's Choice which was a nice touch and still a great way for America to be part of the game. Big Brother 8 had America's Player and a nice thing about that is it gave America one eviction vote (most of the time) and when you compare BB1 to BB8 you can see that America can handle the power considering the house was ready to send ED packing but America wanted Dustin gone and Eric made it happen. America also chose ED as the winner. Big Brother 9 took a step back as it was the least interactive out of all seasons of Big Brother despite a pre-season promise that it would be more interactive. I think for BB10 America should have a say, like let the housemates vote for eviction as normal but give America one vote and/or let America vote for the winner. That would save CBS money as there wouldn't be a need to have a second house, saves money, and they could have the premium telephone votes like other shows now and make money. BB9 failed due to recycled twists, un-originality, tired format, selection of housemates, and virtually no viewer interaction with the show which has been a key point in Big Brother. |

I think a way they could reintroduce interactivity would be to have the audience vote to evict a housemate once every second or third week. It'd certainly add a new element to the game but still maintain the core game playing element.

Big Brother 6 had the most liked and the most hated housemates in the history of BB USA.
In official polls on the CBS website people in the "Sovereign Six" alliance rated very highly with Janelle, Kaysar and Howie receiving 90%+ during the last week. Members in the "Friendship" alliance at the time were the lowest rated housemates with every one of them receiving 38% or less in the poll. Michael who was evicted in Week 2 received a 52% all the way up to Week 11 despite being out of the house and beat all the members of the "Friendship" If you look back at BB6 you see that majority of the members of the "Friendship" had either lied to another housemate or backstabbed them then were pissed when outcasts or "Sovereign Six" broke their word. (Example, Eric made a pact with Kaysar, James & Michael in Week 1 but turned on Michael in Week 2 and got mad when Kaysar nominated him in Week 3 and brought up he broke the pact when in reality it was Eric who did in Week 2) In Big Brother 7, America voted in all of the "Sovereign Six" members that were eligible to enter, Ivette the lone "Friendship" member wasn't chosen to enter by the public or the producers. With Big Brother 8, sure Evel Dick was controversial but truthful more so than the people that were into religion. Examples would be Amber who "trusted" ED turned on him and then started to pray with Jameka when the divisions started to form. Kail turned on ED trying to evict him. Out of all of them ED was more truthful despite his controversial behavior plus there was a reason like trying to protect his daughter from eviction. America did hate everyone from BB9 I have rarely seen good comments about the housemates, except maybe Alex. When you look at BB9 it is basically choosing between the lesser of two evils. |

America hated everyone for BB9. I forgot that it even happened and for the first time ever for BBUS I gave up watching it because it sucked so much. James was actually quite disliked.
Hopefully BB10 has a more likeable cast. |

True BB9 sucked arse. But James was the most popular housemate, he was given the America's Vote of $25,000.
Hopefully BB10 has a more likeable cast. |
