Buying a phone in europe - eastern europe? (nokia n82 or n96)
May be travelling around europe soon (within the next 2 weeks0 just wondered, if i bought a sim free phone in czech republic or sloavakia, would it work ok in england? Anyone guess where the cheapest place would be to buy a sim free Nokia N82 or N96?

Not a good idea. Prices from my experience are MUCH higher than here. Example. Was in Bulgaria last month. A Nokia 5200 which retails here at £29.99 cost £70 in Sofia!

There are other issues with buying abroad. There can be slight hardware differences between the same model in different parts of the world. Should anything go wrong under warranty you may not be able to get it fixed locally as the parts may not be available.

generally, within the EU all the products will be identical. Though they might well have firmware that doesn't have English, which is simple enough to fix.
