better still why work in manchester for a hundred grand when if you are good enough (which mickey rider is certainly not) get 250 grand ,work in london and do less episodes of a soap,

the corrie cast really are stupid doing on average 230 episodes for 100 grand or less,

Thats a good point, ee does seem to pay more, but then it is a public waste of cash = BBC.

The more annooying your character is the longer your contract is it seems.

I agree. How can Anthony Cotton get a new two year deal, but the bookies get axed??

These comments infuriate me! Firstly, I'm not one to comment on these type of questions but lets go through some facts.

Fact 1. Regardless of the actor, the money paid in the south reflects location and higher cost of living. It's the same with any job! However some of the Corrie cast earn well above the average!

Fact 2. Do you really believe The EE cast don't work just as hard as the Corrie cast?

EE 4 episodes per week Running time (average) 28 mins
28 x 4 = 112 mins

Corrie 5 episodes per week Running time (average) 22 mins
22 x 5 = 110 mins

So my maths...well I think you can see.

Why does every darn thread on here turn into Corrie vs EE? It's rather annoying!

As for Cotton receiving the money he does...I am bewildered!

Is it my imagination or has the "wonderful" Mr C not been on our screens quite so much recently?
