I agree. I don't mind things with Lauren or Abi in It's just any scene where Jack is chatting up a woman (which is most scenes) is becoming sickening now and boring. |

The Sun
MAX makes a surprise return to Walford at Abi's birthday party. But it's far from the warm welcome he expected, as Tanya reveals she is sleeping with his brother! "Her admission crushes Max!" says Jake Wood, who plays him. "It's the worst thing that he has ever faced in his life." As the week starts, preparations are underway for Abi's birthday. The excited youngster keeps looking towards the door. Who can she be expecting? Meanwhile, Tanya and Jack secretly snog in the kitchen. Tanya asks her lover if he is prepared to be part of the family. Jack replies that all he wants is her, the girls and baby Oscar. But suddenly an unexpected guest gatecrashes the party * it's Max! Abi is thrilled, but Tanya rushes from the room, feeling sick. Baffled Max confronts his wife, but at that moment they both realise it was Abi who sent the 'Come home' text, not Tanya. "It's a real blow," explains Jake. "Max had been living in a B&B in Hastings. Every day, he had been waiting for Tanya to invite him back * but his daughter sent the text!" Gutted Max decides to stay at Jack's for the night. But the next day he tells his wife he wants to move back in with her, for the sake of their kids. Tanya is torn, but while Max is tending to a crying Oscar, Jack rings and encourages her to come clean about their affair. When Max re-enters the room, he begs Tanya to give him a final chance. Tanya explains that it's too late to try again and admits she has been seeing someone else * his brother! "The fact Tanya is with someone else kills him," says Jake. "But to learn it's his own brother is devastating!" EastEnders - Daddy's girl - The Mirror Even young Abi Branning must be astonished at how quickly her fairy godmother can work on her birthday. For no sooner has she blown out the candles on her cake than the lights are switched on and her dearest wish comes true. ‘Happy birthday, babe,’ her father Max says on Monday (right). Technically, his return was set in motion last week when daddy’s girl Abi borrowed mum Tanya’s phone and texted the code, ‘Come home’, so bringing him out of the Hastings B&B where he has been lying low since his terrifying encounter with a shallow grave at Easter. Unaware of Abi’s part in this, the prodigal may not have expected the fatted calf – in fact, if anything, Tanya’s legs are even more shapely in her sex siren guise – but he didn’t anticipate her being so cold and unwelcoming. ‘It’s like you don’t want me here,’ he guesses correctly. ‘You were the one who asked me. “Come home”, you said. I’ve got it on my mobile.’ Funnily enough, her secret lover, his brother Jack, isn’t particularly delighted at this turn of events, either – although viewers should be. Because Jake Wood is absolutely electrifying as Max tearfully pleading with Tanya to give their marriage another chance. He promises her he has changed and, proving how desperate this particular alpha male is, he rashly vows ‘to learn to use the vacuum cleaner’. Wow! Quite where he plans to stick the nozzle is a little ambiguous on Friday when he discovers that Jack has been ‘servicing’ his missus and they’re happily in love. But Jack’s not even shocked by Max’s revelation that ‘my darlin’, pretty little wife’ and her then lover Sean tried to bury him alive. ‘Yeah, I know,’ Jack lies, ‘an’ I approve. Only thing she did wrong, mate, was dig you up again.’ No brotherly love lost there, then… What the hell! Why would Jack be so calm about it!Daily Star SAUCY Tanya Branning continues to enjoy secret romps with her brother-in-law Jack, unaware her estranged hubby Max is on his way back to Albert Square. And the curvy mum-of-three is in for a hell of a shock when he makes his *dramatic return. To make matters worse, Max believes it was Tanya who invited him to come home after getting a text message from her mobile phone. But the message was sent by the couple’s daughter Abi, who for months has been desperate to have her dad back home. But Max won’t be happy when he discovers what his missus and brother have been doing. The soap’s bosses are keeping tight-lipped about the explosive *storyline but have promised an action-packed summer for the Brannings. An insider said: “Max is the master manipulator. “Viewers will be expecting him to be out for revenge when he finds out about Tanya and Jack. “But there are going to be a number of twists and turns. A lot will come out about Jack and Max’s *relationship. It’s always been rocky and there will be some shocks over the summer. “One thing is for sure, Max loves his kids and isn’t about to give them up – especially not to his own brother. “Whether he keeps them by scheming or by winning back Tanya’s love remains to be seen. But it will take some doing to convince Tanya to give their marriage another go.” Max makes his dramatic return a week tomorrow. |
