Can't see her being a direct descendant, since Gwyneth died and didn't seem to have any kids at that point.
Didn't RTD say that there was no connection between them? Apart from being the same actress of course.
Except imost families of the time Gwyneth probs cam from a large family of children. six or seven. some would die. and some would have children of their own. Your descendants down the line bcome very tenuous, but still your family.

Ancestor means a relative in the past, descendent, means a relative that descends from you, ie in the future, so no, not the same thing.

No they are not the same thing. If they were related, which as I said above RTD has said they are not, but if they were:
Gwyneth would be Gwens Ancestor
Gwen would be Gwyneths Descendant.
I don't think it will be mentioned tbh...we're assuming the 2 of them actually meet?

No, there's no link at all that we know of. Plenty of characters are shown in clips on Confidental.

It's not odd, the character appeared alongside tens of other characters in Confidental.

As said, they often show old clips depending on what they are talking about. I haven't watched tonight's confidential yet though so I can't tell you what they were talking about at the time. They often show lots of clips that have no relevance to what is happening in the episode that has just been shown/will be shown next week.

what do you mean 2 doc story, if you mean one in the classic series then that was before RTD
