The house swap storyline in Corrie has, in my opinion, been funny and interesting and it continued to be amusing up to and including the day of the swap.

But I have to say I felt a little let down that the writers concentrated purely on comedy/drama (dramedy, if you like) and not on the emotion of Sally and Kevin leaving the house they have lived in for what must be 20 or so years?

They raised a family there and the house holds countless memories for them, but not a tear was shed. Not a memory shared, nothing.

I would have thought Corrie would have had at least ONE sentimental scene. Even if it was just Sally standing looking around the empty dining room for a second.

But NOTHING.

End of a Corrie era, and all the writers had Sally do was take out light bulbs.

I agree... If i lived somewhere that long and just to move out without getting all emotional would be quite difficult!

I agree, I thought it was dreadful the way it seemed so easy for them to just move out of the home they'd lived in for so long without even a hint of sadness. Pathetic, but completely typical of how bad the show is right now IMHO.

This storyline is peeing me right off. Sally and Claire are unbearable at the best of times without putting them centre stage. It's time the Websters were axed, they have run their course. Kev's not too bad but the rest of them are just annoying.

I thought maybe Kevin would have thought back to when he lodged with Hilda, thats how he got to live in the house in the first place. Would have been nice to have seen him say something about that.

Hating the whole storyline though.

So she bothered to take lightbulbs, but not valuable things from the attic! I thought Sally was supposed to be smart!

The whole storyline is silly IMO - I thought Fred would have left Ashley and Claire pretty well off so how would they have got through all that money so quickly???

Sally and Kevin haven't lived there continuously for 20 years given they split up and Sally was shacked up with a variety of men including Greg Kelly and Danny the DIY man. Kevin was also living with poor Alison, so it's no wonder they didn't want to reflect on their history. I like how Sally and Kevin are back together and have forgotten their turbulent pasts.

That's true. Also, Kevin never mentions his baby son who died which I find a bit strange. It's like the past never existed sometimes.

If Darran Little was still at Corrie that episode would have been fantastic with references to Hilda and Stan, and probably even Danny and Greg
