Such a nice girl our Jodie! Are we surprised or bovvered...No.Just proves she is just another wannabe.

Really didn't expect that over her. Yet, I'm not that suprised :/

Wow! what a shocker.

I doubt that Jodie was as manipulative as suggested.

So she was playing around - that is quite understandable. After being an unattractive 'chunker' all her adult life, admiration from handsome millionaires was probably totaly overwhelming for her. After 20 years of famine, suddenly a feast.

The relationship being in the public eye probably didn't help either. Jodie, once her mind had changed, was probably stuck about how to end it -- waiting until the show is over is probably best for many reasons.

I think that yeah, Jodie may have liked all of the attention from millionaires - but to use an engagement in the two reality shows she's been in? That's quite cunning I think.

I doubt that it was all a ploy, Jodie (with her history) probably would be overwhelmed and ecstatic with the attention from someone like Steve. Her future must have seemed much more promising than it had previously done.

She may have been in love - or at least thought that she was. We don't know why she changed her mind. The fact that they were separated couldn't help - she may have been swept away by someone that we don't know about. [One of those dancers perhaps - maybe even a Joseph
But I'm betting against it being Cameron or Andrew. Barry Humphries would be a long shot ]

No surprise that you'd all prefer to believe everything a very bitter man tells the NOTW ...and I wonder how much he was paid?

All his remarks about her body and giving such intimate details make him sound like a bit of a sh*t to be honest.

I think he is deluding himself rather a lot when he says how she 'used' their relationship to make herself popular. I remember it being included in the audition shows but beyond that I don't recall much being made about it all and it certainly isn't the sort of thing that would inspire me to vote for someone.

Just a bitter ex wanting some revenge. Sad.

apparently she cheated on him aswell according to this link:
http://www.people.co.uk/news/tm_head...name_page.html

I'm not surprised they've split, i was expecting it as I thought it was strange how after she won in the final she thanked and said she loved her mum and dad but never mentioned steve, but I hope some of the nastier details in the stories aren't true

We don't know anything about the circumstances of how they split up - it's unfair to base judgment of how Jodie's a 'manipulative bitch' from one side of the story, particularly as a) it's on NOTW so it's by definition sensationalist and b) the man's probably feeling hurt and bitter so is probably trying to see the worst in Jodie. Either way, it's sinking a bit low to be splurging out all these private information about their sex life to the tabloids, and this kind of thing always makes the one revealing the information look much worse.

Perhaps he wants to make up his mind - in one paper, he says she dumped him by text message and in another he says he dumped her for cheating...

I'm not an obsessive Jodie fan by any means but these sort of scummy stories really piss me off. The man should have a bit more dignity than to run to the papers - it's not like he needs the money. Maybe he's just annoyed that he's not going to get a bit of her lifestyle too!

The tiniest portion of this may be true but come on it's the NOTW she prob got swept up with all the excitment thought she loved him, got engaged to him and then realised she hardly knew him and that she did not want to marry him!!

He's now very bitter and wanted to get his revenge in the most public way possible!

Nothing like a spurned lover eh. Shame but it happens and they did meet and get engaged very quickly.

I would take no notice except for the other boy-friend saying she asked him to get engaged on the biggest loser. One could be coincidence - two mmm I don't know!!

What?? Mr Speilberg = Steve !!

This is getting more extreme than a plot of Dr Who

Who knows what to believe?

The CIA would be proud of all the smoke and mirrors that have been involved in this show.

I can assure you this is true I never said anything prior as I didnt want to ruin Jodies chances of winning..... if you read all Mr S`s posts you`ll see it more or less for yourself...I have no reason to say this if its not true but i`m a strong believer in what goes around comes aorund he has brought all this on himself....

Am not shocked at all to be honest. I thought Jodie came across as very false throughout the whole show and the engagement was very staged.

She's done the engagement thing on a reality thing before. This one's got form.

Well it doesn't bother me in the slightest what Jodie does with her personal life.
Well unless she turned out to be Nazi or something or a terrorist.
But she said she was in love and everything on tv and that she was soo happy to be engaged.
If she loved the guy, then why did she cheat on him.
I don't think that she's a gold digger or a slapper. But I do think that she played it up in order to win. Ruthless maybe, but that's what it takes in some cases to be successfull.

Am I the only one who voted for Jodie on her performance? I didn't even know about her love life until today (apart from the fact she had a new BF at the auditions) and I didn't vote for her on her love life as the articles by her ex claim? I would't go to see a show based on someones love life...if that was the case, we'd never go watch any shows or films on a moral ground, the amount of times actors and actresses swap partners!

I liked her voice and entertainment factor!

Maybe the show should have been called 'I'd do anything and you all have to vote for me on my private life and looks and not at all how I perform in the show.'

The point is that some people do vote because of crap like people's love lives and whatever.
I don't, but it helps if you like the person that you are voting for.
If they are more memorable and stand out, people will vote regardless of whether they make a mistake or not.
It's about building up a fan base I'm afraid.
It's also about talent, but popularity sells tickets aswell.
