Quite. It was totally different. First of all, Lee and Denise were not officially an item until months after the tv show finished and Joseph opened on the West End. Kerry made next to no impact on ADWD. Second of all, Kerry didn't take her story to the tabloids to share with the world.

You can bore me with it all you want. Apologies for being a gossipy old bag. Must try to curb instinct. Don't if you'd rather not.

I'm not posting on this thread any more as we're just rehashing old discussions again and the original 'story' will soon be next weeks chip shop wrappings - I wonder who the NOTW will go for next Sunday?”

you are right. old memories are being rehashed.

i just do not correlate the drama school thing with a fake relationship played out. it has nothing to do with her as a performer and won't affect the way she does the part. i also believe that.

I'll bore you. lol
I didn't know they met on a suardaddies website, if that is in fact true. she said it was salsa dancing.. anyway, i am not against internet relationships at all, just saying...meet on internet, engaged in 9 weeks, weren't really on their third date at auditions; already the lies. a marriage cannot be built when it starts out with lies. it never works.

Oh come on give the girl a break. If you met on a sugardaddies website would you really want people to know!!

No, but i also would not try to focus on my so called third date and draw attention to my mate either. it's the BBC too.

i would try to keep it all kind of hushed up, because lies always come to the surface, some way some how.

I think we are all getting our knickers in a twist about nothing......boy meets girl......boy loses girl...........whats the big deal here..........or is this saying more about our natures............lets stop blowing it all out of porportion.......
piper333

people probably wonder if boy would have lost girl if Nancy wasn't there. you're right though, it's an age old story.

he is the villified one here basically for speaking out. the Jodie haters say "I told you so, she is fake and isn't as sweet as you all think"

it is shitty though and i think he was used in a tiny way. but maybe she was too.

in the end, it is what it is. finished.

I have to say the fiance came across as a bit of nob on the programme. But I liked Mr Spielberg when he posted here. So I'm confused

I've looked back at his posts and so did I - but I guess you can't tell what posters are really like?

Lee did not dump his girlfriend for Denise - he ended the relationship with Kerry a while before his relationship with Denise began! Neither he nor Kerry felt the need to air their dirty linen in public - so they were able to quietly get on with their lives and move on to other relationships.

As for people being offended, plenty were - because they believed the claptrap about Kerry being dumped for Denise, when that clearly wasn't the case!

I thought I read they had split up 4 months before Lee went out for the first time with Denise.

sure, and you don't think it had ANY thing to do with him meeting Denise on the show? they didn't air any dirtly linen in public, because it was probably an amicable split and she didn't feel used like this idiot jodie was with did. no Lee and Kerry didn't break up immediately but when you have three years invested it usually takes longer to break up, regarless of circumstance.

i don't know, but a nine week relationship then an engagement seemed silly anyway, but a three year relationship breaking up after he meets and sees Denise all the time (i think she probably pursued him too and he was star struck) is a little different and can see how it was construed like this.

again, they didn't use Kerry as a stepping stone story for Lee, they used other things, which he didn't need anyway.

I'm not usually into gossip, but I was surprised about Denise and Lee as I never imagined them as a couple/

That Jodie is really dedicated to her craft isn't she.

Preparing for the role of Nancy by taking on SugarDaddys just like Nancy would have on the East End. Method Acting at its best.

DVO was almost orgasmic when he was on........She even kissed his picture at the audition.......it was a win win for him

Oh dear, that just made me almost cry with laughter

If he really did sell his story to NOTW, then I feel sorry for Jodie, as she never really seemed one who would want her dirty linen aired in public. I would imagine a lot of it's fabrication anyway, but I'm sure the basis must be true, else surely there'd be room for legal interference?

boy meets girl........boy realises he could be famous with a famous girlfriend.........he proposes.........girl realises he is really a leech.........girl says thanks......but no thanks...boy cries to newspapers as his dreams of being the boyfriend of the famous girl friend is slipping from his control........girl runs for it.......dad rescues the car.....true nature of boy is shown....

thee end

The article makes him seem worse than her.

I can understand her being so completely swept up in the show she doesn't have time for him.

Who among us can say they have never cheated, never had second thoughts etc. Its just that Jodie's ex now has carte blanche with the newspapers to take his revenge with words and negative publicity.

Very very plausible, Casper, and what I shall choose to believe.

Not that any of this matters anyway. But I like a bit of gossip!!

Well unless she turned out to be Nazi or something or a terrorist.
But she said she was in love and everything on tv and that she was soo happy to be engaged.
If she loved the guy, then why did she cheat on him.
I don't think that she's a gold digger or a slapper. But I do think that she played it up in order to win. Ruthless maybe, but that's what it takes in some cases to be successfull.”

If anyone voted for Jodie cause of a boyfriend.says more about them than her.

Every girl is happy when getting engaged....maybe she started to see a side to him that we didnt......it happens every day of the year.....

She bleeds just like us.......normal people

Can you imagine the Newspapers even entertaining him if he wasnt attached to Jodie..........hes milking the last of his dream.

No person in their right mind would go to the newspapers........UNLESS........they wanted revenge.

The sad thing is some people do vote because of that..
It's stupid though. After all some people believe that people in soaps are real...
I think that Jodie probably got in deeper than she wanted to, after all they hadn't being going out for that long, and she couldn't pull the plug during the show, because it would have been all over the papers.
