Well not really because if a forum member doesn't have a choice amongst those now available in the categories they either have to choose another candidate who doesn't reflect their feelings or abstain from voting. Fair enough for an 'awards' ceremony, but you can't claim it reflects the opinions of the forum as a whole.

To answer your question though, most of us nominated at least one person who hasn't made the short list I would think, however rather than making a fuss about it we have switched to the nominee that most reflects our views. I didn't see the earlier thread. I wouldn't have expected the need for shortening a list when there's only 16 people, I must admit, but I certainly intended no disrespect to the OP. My question was genuine and not a complaint. Now that you've made me aware of this, I will, of course, bow out as I'm not now able to register my own opinion.
