Since she left i really do miss her. It was a shame they killed her off because she could've came back couldn't she.

I miss her antics with Dot and Pat. There has been moments when she has been needed like when Steven arrived and kidnapped Ian. If Pauline knew this she wouldn't be afraid to say what she thought of Steven.
And where the pub got raided she would have stood upto those thugs there she wouldn't care who they are she'd stand upto to them.
She has also became famous for owning murder weapons like the iron doorstop that killed "Dirty" Den, the iron that Little Mo hit Trevor with and the not so muder weapon that was her frying pan that she used to smack Arthur with.
Her rivalries with Den, Mrs Hewitt and Peggy has always been a joy to watch.

I really admired her. She stood upto Gangsters like Johnny Allen and Andy Hunter no matter who they are, She stood upto people like "Tricky Dicky" Richard Cole, She has smacked Peggy a few times and Mrs Hewitt and she was the person who people speak to if they had problems like for example Sharon, Pat, Little Mo and Dot.

She has also had some friendly chats to Kat Slater and Big Mo.

I really miss Pauline and Arthur they were sensational.

I couldn't stand Pauline all the time I saw her. She might have been different years ago I wouldn't know but I couldn't stand her personally. Wendy was a great actres but I'm glad Pauline's gone.

she was a great character.
I thought she was really loud but that made of Pauline a powerful character. She had to endure a lot of (hard) things but her end was amazing; I mean, not the fact that her last husband caused her a brain haemorrhage that killed her , but the way it was filmed and written.
James Alexandrou, Natalie Cassidy, Ray Brooks and of course the television icon Wendy 'Pauline' Richard were great in that storyline that led to the exit of their characters.

But "Andy Hunter" don't forget that if Pauline is not here today with her nephew, that's because Wendy wanted to leave the soap. The marriage between her character with Joe is a reason, but I'm sure that she couldn't cope filming everyday anymore. She said something like this in an interview, though, the fact that now she feels like she's free and she's not under pressure.

Even though, we can't deny Pauline was an icon: loved or hated, she was always there to cause passions! One of the things I loved about her was her feud with Sonia, one of the things I missed so much today

I miss the warm loving family-centric character that Pauline originally was.

But in her final few years they turned her into such a bitter gnarled old witch that I was glad to see the back of her. I believe Wendy Richards was equally unhappy with the changes in her character.

The character was good, but by the time Wendy was leaving, she'd run her course. Apart from anything else I don't think that Wendy liked what the writers were doing with the character.

The last half of 2006 were painful to watch as she was boarded up in her house with her tight turtle neck grey jumpers.

YUCK!

Kate Harwood killed the Fowler family in my opinion, what she did to Pauline, Martin and Sonia was unforgivable. In the end I was glad to see the back of their miserable faces.

I do miss the characters they were before the horrible 05-07 period though, and it's a shame they were so mistreated as Wendy, Natalie and James were three of EastEnders' best actors and the characters remain some of the most important in EastEnders' 23 year history.

Pauline was a miserable old bag at the best of times, and I'm glad that she's dead.

How could anyone miss Pauline. I've watched EastEnders from the beginning and she was okay for the first five years or so, but the last twenty years she was mean, dispirited and enjoyed spreading the misery. I think they should have got rid of her years ago, good riddance.

I hated pauline but when you see her in uktv gold now she had some really good put downs and i can just imagine her in it now with ronnie and roxy, and the things she would have said to stacey and max after their affair.....

Nope. As I replied earlier in the thread, she used to be a warm, caring , family-centric member of the community who everybody loved and admired. It was only in her final few years the writers turned her into a miserable character and that's why the actress left

The best bit when Pauline was in EE, was when someone whacked her over the head with that doorstop,dog..
