I don't feel remotely sorry for Liam. He was the one who cheated on his wife, and he led Carla on knowing she loved him.
Then he comes back from holiday and expects Carla to put up with him playing happy families, going on about trying for another baby etc. Why should she have to put up with that everyday? He was the one who messed up, yet the woman, as usual, gets all the blame! I think he is a spineless idiot to be honest, and he deserves all he gets. If he was that decent he would have confessed the truth to Maria and dealt with the consequences, but he is determined to carry on the deceit so he has to deal with the consequences. Boo hoo! |

dont feel remotelly sorry for him, the thing that annoys me is that in the liam/carla/mari love triangle liam in his own mind seems to see himself as the victim, he isnt the victim no-one held a gun to his head and told him to have the affair, he didnt have to go back up to carlas flat after he left but he did
no-ones fault other than his own |

I like Liam but just now I am not happy with him at all but this is because I love Carla and Liam hurt her - the jackass. I do enjoy RJC though =) |

Carla could be a much better character but she's been lumbered with this never-ending Maria & Liam love triangle.
Tony must surely suspect something has gone on, especially after the quick sale of the factory. He has a mad look about him so vengeance will surely be his!!!!!!! |

![]() I felt really sorry for him, did anyone else? I hate carla. ![]() She doesn't care about Liam, if she did she would have left him alone once it was obvious that it was Maria he wanted and not her. She only kept on pestering him because she can't get it into her thick head that anyone would choose another woman over her. You'd think that would have sunk in with Paul and his 'escorts'. She just deliberately wore him down at a time when he was very vulnerable and now that he's stronger and has again shown that it's Maria he wants to be with she will stoop at nothing to get her selfish idea of revenge. I think Tony has her sussed, but is saying nothing (yet) as the business deal suits him. |

She begged him to use her.
She threw herself at him. She was just stupid enough to think he'd stay with her. |

no she didnt, he left her flat, and when maria phoned liam he hung the phone up and went back up to her flat
LIAM made the first move not carla Very true if you over look the fact that Carla had been "making the first move" for months before that day and actively trying to break up his marriage ! |

She can do it because she is so spiteful.

A good summary which reflects my views on the matter
For months Carla tried to wear him down and was so bloody horrible to Maria when was pregnant with his baby. |

Oh no! How many threads are running about this? lol, we can't get enough, can we?
I'm puzzled as to how Michelle has made no reference to the loss of the baby whatsoever. She's too busy rolling her eyes and flicking her hair I suppose. Love or hate her, Alison King plays Carla to perfection. |

I think all three of them have to take some blame in this.
Liam has used both Maria and Carla to boost his ego. Not once did he sit Carla doen and tell her to stop the flirting. He told her to stop been spiteful to Maria but said nothing about her flirtatious behaviour and flirted back often. If he didn't want anythin g then you don't toy with people's affections like that. He then went to Carla after she'd poured her heart out and slept with her twice willingly, as far as I remember she didn't force him to stay. He had the ability to say no if he wanted. Then he goes to his grieving wife and can't even have the balls to tell her what happened. Carla yes can be a bitch but it's hardly like she merely wanted to get Liam into her bed. I think the way she acted after he said he'd chosen Maria was purely because for once she had worn her heart on her sleeve, bared all and he didn't care. True now she might be acting hostile but I'd challenge any woman who's not been wronged by a man to not want to have he vengeance. Personally I'd go for castration but there we go. And the idea that she would merely go along with thi and work happily in the factory with him is the guy delusional?!? Maria too has her part to play. After his fall when she started her paranoia she should have talked it out with him. If she felt threatened then surely she should have spoken to Liam about why he'd called for Carla instead of merely moving the wedding forward. Yes she was pregnant but that is no reason to exclude her from the blame. It's hardly Carla's fault Liam and Maria haven't yet mastered contraception is it! She was the one who pushed Liam away after baby Paul's stillbirth. I'm not saying she wasn't entitled to in her grief but still. I just don't see why when Carla's been pretty much the only honest person in this mess that she gets the majority of the blame. As far as I recall it takes two to tango. |

I find it hard to muster up any sympathy for either of them, more so with Carla as she is a far nastier piece of work.

I suspect Carla will suffer longest and hardest, should this deal with Tony go through. I son't think she's really thinking of the long term implications of having Tony in every aspect of her life.
just deserts huh.... |
