This mine collapse came out of nowhere. For no logical reason, Ned, Steve, Steph and Fitzy are out clearing trees. And why were they the only people there?

They all (supposedly) have their own jobs; Steph is a councillor, barmaid and mother(!), so what the hell is she doing out there?

It's a rehash of the building collapse a couple of months ago with less imagination and in which the characters have been forced into an unrealistic, nonsensical situation just so they could have this storyline.

Neighbours used to be very entertaining and funny to watch. Now it's just pathetic.

yea was silly...I thought, as if,,you cant pull the trees on the own , like steph was doing..And he kept banging the wall or summat, you can read like a book what was gonna happen, seeing all the dust coming from top..

I feel so sorry for the actors, obviously not the guy playing Ned because he's not an actor.

Ha! So true. Bloody hell though, what a bizarre, random storyline. Also the fact that they raced through it so quickly suggested that maybe it was last minute or something? A filler for something else they couldn't do? Anyway, its Neighbours and its fabulous so onwards and upwards...

I dont have a problem with it i thought it was good. The fact that alot of the cast are currently at this point in time about to or have gone to the UK for Xmas panto it was a good mini storyline.

The SES is a VOLUNTARY organisation where ordinary people help out when there's disasters - like bush fires and storms. That is what Steph was doing out there.

But the point being made is where the hell does she get the time?

As we saw she was busy with the bar that she couldn't go to the meeting, then she could...everyone is entitled to a day off. She owns the bar - she just needs to have someone working that day and leave them to it.

Did anyone else see that grafitti on the mine shaft that said "Paul Robinson was here!"

I did think it was a ridiculous storyline and just an excuse for Libby to realise how she feels about Fitzy, Ned and Steve to have the big heart to heart etc....

Carla Bonner wasn't happy doing this storyline. You can find some articles concerning this from Neighbours Fans.

I'm starting to see why the Neighbours Eexec producer was replaced not long after this.

What you are seeing now was filmed in panto season 07-08.

Neighboursfans.com have a interview with the new EP who basically tells UK fans to wait for the episode on the 4th August - which is when things start to turn around.

Neighbours will take more than 'turning around' to 'rescue' it.

Whatever happened to the cheery soap about Ramsay Street folk? It's a shambles nowadays. What's it trying to be? A poor imitation of Friends, a remake of Police Rescue crossed with Blue Healers or just a poor man's Home and Away?

Half the cast have left and and on top of that, it's filmed in a London smog!

Read the interview with the EP - she is a fan who doesnt like the show as it is now.

She wants to bring it back to the family-orientated Neighbours it used to be.
