"Connie Fisher has landed her first stage role since starring as Maria in The Sound Of Music.

The 25-year-old, from Pembrokeshire, found fame when she won the BBC competition to find a star for a new stage production of The Sound of Music.

Fisher will now tread the boards in, They're Playing Our Song, alongside impressionist Alistair McGowan."

Would love to see this and to see if she's really the one trick pony so many seem to think she is.

Even more interesting will be to see Alistair as I don't remember seeing him in any musical role before?

Thats really good news for Connie!

Alistair Mcgowen has just finished playing alongside Amy Nuttell in Cabaret.

I cant picture him singing and dancing at all..he must be pretty good!!

I love that one - what did he play?

Wish Connie lots of luck - she's got the right face for that show!

I'm also interested in seeing how she copes with another role. I hope she does well.

Good luck to Connie. Saw that years ago with Gemma Craven and Martin Shaw in it.
