7.30pm - Claire thinks she's found a lifeline

Liam is already bored being stuck at home with only Ozzy for company and he notices that Carla is late opening up the factory. Maria is concerned that he is going to regret selling his share of the business. Meanwhile, Carla warns Tony that she expects him to be more than a silent partner. She is also less than impressed when she discovers he has got Rosie organising travel arrangements which have nothing to do with Underworld. Will Carla regret trading Liam for Tony?

Chaos reigns at number 4 as the Websters and Peacocks battle for space getting ready for work. With only one bathroom to go round, it is becoming increasingly clear that the house share is not going to work. Claire, however, has other things on her mind when a clear out of the loft at number 13 unearths what looks like an original Lowry painting.

Michelle is beginning to suspect Steve has something to hide and decides to tackle Lloyd about it. It soon becomes clear, however, that Lloyd is trying to avoid her - and Carla is convinced Steve has been unfaithful. Michelle is determined to give him the benefit of the doubt, but she's determined to get to the bottom of what he and Lloyd have been up to.

Maria thinks a new job could be the making of David but Audrey smells a rat when his prospective employer rings up to check a reference she definitely did not write. Will Ted confess to being behind the forged reference?

8.30pm - Michelle plies Lloyd for information about Steve

Cornered by Michelle in the cab, Lloyd tries to tell her that she is over reacting, but she insists she is not going anywhere until he tells her the truth about what Steve got up to. He soon realises a straight denial isn't working but stalls her by admitting he knows something and arranges to meet up later.

As a terrified Becky strains to overhear the conversation later in the café she is relieved when Lloyd makes up a cock and bull story about Steve blowing five grand in the casino. Michelle is not convinced, however, especially when she can’t find any evidence of the casino loss on Steve's credit card bill. When she tackles him on the phone later, he denies ever being near a casino - leaving her more determined than ever to get to the bottom of what has gone on.

Audrey is furious with Ted for forging David's reference and tells him that she is going to ring the other salon and tell them what has gone on. David and Ted try to appeal to her better nature but Audrey is determined not to back down - will David keep his job?

Tony tells Carla that he has set them a target to retire five years from now and that he has a master plan to enable them to do it. He wants to expand Underworld and combine their two businesses to cut down on overheads. Carla is interested but when he tells her he thinks they should buy up the garage and paper shop to free up enough space for expansion, Carla thinks he is moving a bit too fast.

Ashley thinks it would be immoral to keep any profit from the sale of the painting but Claire decides to do some research and now he can't help seeing pound signs, especially when she reveals it was in the loft before the Websters bought the house.

Andy wanted to spend some quality time with his twin - that was the reason given, I think.

The sooner he goes, the better IMO. Have never warmed to him...

Thanks, yeah I heard him say that but it still looks dodgy ... I was wondering if there was a more dodgy reason since he was being a bit shifty about it all.

I seem to remember when Derdrie (sorry for spelling) and her first husband. Ray, bought a house in the street they found a valuable painting, so it seems they are recreating ols story lines.
