Well ive been watching since the end of Graham Norton and its half past midnight now, and no sign of an active icon. Ive tried rebooting the system, but im guessing that the service just isnt up and running yet.

Perhaps they are still trying to fix the pauses that occur every 4 secs on the feeds.

What a disappointment! .... I'm off to bed.

ive just looked on the 4extra feed, and it still pauses every 3 seconds or so. i guess they wont launch the active service until theyve fixed this bug.

It's not interactive on ONdigital either. I'm off to bed - I'll try again tomorrow.

Someone on the Big Brother forum said that they censored it at 4am and yes, there are ads every 20 mins.
No interactive yet either (NTL).

The reason they censor is because they have to if it's on UK television. Don't forget that it's live up to 8pm at night. It has to be sutable for family viewing.

They have to have Ad's because its a commercial channel.

Also it says that the Interactive service will begin tonight and when Big Brother live goes offline to E4 at 5:30 pm you can still watch by pressing the Red button when the other programmes are on.

Of course you'd have to be a serious Big Brother nut to want to watch all of that!!!

Summary at 12:20
E4 is now showing a smaller screen with the preview in, and an E4 logo and ticker telling viewers when live active starts again. It doesnt mention interactive services. The preview now features a promo for the BigBro live action and there is a quick screenshot of the interactive service. But still no active icon.
4Extra is still showing the 4 feeds with the annoying pause.

Also as mentioned earlier, E4 is a commerical channel so they have to show adverts, so why dont they have ad breaks in the preview? I'm guessing the answer for this will be because the preview isnt strictly classed as a programme. any views?

E4 have a quota number of adverts to show. No advertiser would pay to show adverts during what is really, 'downtime'. The ads actually stopped at 3am last night, I assume because they'd filled the number of adverts they're required to show.

To be fair to E4, they do try to wait until a conversation comes to a natural end before going into a break (probably thanks to the fact the feed is delayed 10 mins).

Cheers, Asa

I'm under the impression we have to wait until Tuesday night (uk.tech.tv.sky) for the BBinteractive. I watched some of it last night and there was a fair bit of swearing on it.

When it is ''LIVE'' outside the watershed the censors are going to have to work really hard to edit out all the swear words. In the end it will just sound like a Jerry Springer episode!

you would think they would have had everything ready for BB interactive, i mean they have only had a year to prepare.

If it is like music choice interactive or sky text maybe it will be available for the final week!!!

Nice to see that the EPG tells you what the interactive service carries,ie/camera angles, vote etc..

Shame that they seem to have forgot to add the red interactive icon!

You would think after all the hype over what E4 was going to do with Big Brother that when the series started the interactive service that 4 have been harping on about in all the papers and on tv/radio would/should be there from day one.

Doesn`t look too clever for the 4 pr people who have spent a lot of time 'selling' the interactive product of Big Brother only for it not to appear.

Wonder when the service will appear?

Steve.

A message was just on screen apologising for sound problems but not for lack of interactive services.

In the last ad break they were running a promo for the website and the sky digital available interactive service.

Very strange,advertise a service that isn`t available,sounds a bit like Sky!

Who is running the interactive service is it e4 themselves or a third party such as NDS?

Steve.
