Thoughts for this week. Loved the Bollywood piece and I don't think any of the other couples could have done it as well as Katee & Josh did. And the music was authentic ... take note SCD!

I also liked both of Mark & Chelsie's pieces and Gev & Courtney in the jazz. I'm sure that the 'Adam & Eve' dance was admirable and I should really love it .... but ... I didn't ... so I ff'd through some of it, I'm afraid.

Nigel was perving big time, Mary seemed to have turned the volume down a little but has a few more decibels to go yet and Mia should be seen and not heard as far as I'm concerned, interesting choreographer but what a bitch!

Haven't seen the results show yet even though I know the result, but I read that they turned the lights out for the group dance....erm .... what?

Yeah I hate that about DWTS more than strictly tho on dwts some of the song choices are just wierd

completely agree

Didn't like Thayne and comfort routines or the cha cha - kept thinking of Pasha and Anya/Jessi doing that routine

Thought the Adam and Eve routine was well executed and unique but not sure whether I like it or not

Twitch was amazing in the krump routine too
Spoiler

The group routine is amazing -

Jessica has been removed from the competition due to a leg injury and replaced with the last eliminated girl, Comfort.

No you're not. I'm listening. I love SYTYCD and watch it using You Tube. Thought Gev fantastic and am glad Mark's safe. Comfort should have gone for the girls though.

Yeah, I would have rather Comfort was eliminated (again!) than Kherington. I liked Gev a lot, it's a shame he left but I would rather he left than Mark did

Haven't seen the results show in full yet Can't wait. There's a Nigel-choreographed routine, apparently!

Yep Nigel's routine fun but looked very basic to me. Would have preferred Wade Robson or a Shane Sparks, Mandy Moore one. The Bollywood routine at the beginning was great and it looked like they were having a blast.

at first it was said to be a nervous breakdown, and then she announced it was broken ribs, i don't know where this leg injury came from.

Comfort should have been gone ages ago and actually i question why they let certain ones in there over that girl with the famous coreographer mother, using the excuse that she didn't show charisma. that was b.s, they knew she would be too amazing and surpass a lot of girls fast.

some people got screwed for ratings and it is sickening. that juliard dancer boy was brilliant but again, they didn't put him through.

Rumour on the internet before the show aired (between Monday, when it's recorded, and Wednesday, when it's aired) said it was a leg injury. Obviously, once the show was aired, we learned it was broken ribs.

I would rather Comfort left - for me, since she had been brought back, Comfort would have needed to be AMAZING to justify staying and IMO she wasn't.

Is the choice of dances random because I find it bizarre? Why has nobody else done Bollywood?

Fortunately, it's voting for singles, not couples, at this stage, so even if they do do badly

It is a bit strange that new dances are being introduced, as they seem so random - Bollywood and Country Two-Step? Even the pas de deux, which I really liked, because can you really imagine a couple like, say, Twitch and Comfort or Susie and Marquis getting that and dancing it well? When they added West Coast Swing in season 2, that made sense to me but with these particular styles - it seems a bit 'specialist' and gimmicky to me. JMO

Dance style is supposed to be random - picked out of a hat - but rumour says that since season 2, the contents of the hat is specified to the couple. Like, while Gev and Courtney's hat may contain contemporary, hip hop, foxtrot and disco, Katee and Joshua's might contain a whole other set of dances. So it is random, but not truly random. If that makes sense

I've been watching SYTYCD on you tube but they've withdrawn some of the videos. Does anyone know anywhere else that has them?

Yeah, I preferred Danny, Lacey and Neil, wasn't that fussed on Sabra though, she wasn't one of my favourites.

One thing I really miss is the pre-dance video packages - I know we still have them but they're way shorter and I miss getting to really know the contestants. Mark's personality stands out, but some of them are a bit...meh. Even the contestants who left earlier in previous seasons, I felt like I 'knew' better than some of this year's.
