Call Divert on BT

Is it expensive? I see it's £1.75 a month to divert to a mobile or landline, but do the people who ring you pay for the mobile call when it's diverted as well, and do we pay any extra?

Just a thought....You may get a better response on the 'Phones' board....

The calling persun pays whatever they would normally pay for a call to your number. You pick up the full costs of the diverted leg of the call.

Any idea how much the divert would be?

Depends where you're diverting. You pay for the call to your destination from your landline.

Yes - You pay BT £1.75 per month for the service.

Callers pay the same to call your number, lots of people seem to be confused about this. But if you're calling a number starting 01, then you're charged at the rate for calling the number - if it's diverted then the person with the number pays for the divert.

If your calls go through BT, then your calls will appear on the BT bill just as if you had made the call directly - so if your BT line is going to your mobile everytime someone calls you you'll be charged as if you're calling your mobile from the line.

If your calls are billed by another provider via CPS - then they'll bill you for the call.

To divert your landline to your mobile, you pay BT £1.75/month and then 20p per diverted call (of up to 20 minutes):

Just so the OP knows, that's if you CPS your calls to Primus and opt for their free Penny Mobile add-on. A wise choice if you are planning on diverting calls to mobiles.
