Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying the live feeds this year for the first time, but want to ask a few questions first, hope you guys can help...

1. How much does it cost for the full 3 months?

2. As you sign up with Real Player, do they only charge you for Big Brother? Or do they carry on charging you for the Real Player services even after BB has finished?

3. What is the best method to pay?

Any other help would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks.

I usually subscribe to the streaming a few days or so before the series starts and it usually costs around $29.95 for the whole season. I think this is classed as the early bird subscription. You can also pay by the month, but this works out more expensive, but is good if you don't want to commit to the entire season.

I click on the link via the website or via one of the many forums. This will take you direct to Real.Com rather than the UK real site. They do however link up, so you have no problems putting in all your British details. I always cancel via a button inside my account, just to be sure it does cancel. Watch out as they try to give you free game access, but will continue to charge you for it, when the freebie trial finishes. Just cancel it at the same time as you do the streaming or at the start.

I pay either by credit card or my switch card and haven't had any problems at all.

When and if you decide to get the streaming, look out for the BB Viewer (free), which gets advertised on all good BBUS forums. It's great for switching streams really quickly. The forums will also put up links to the streams, which are better than the ones on the official site.

I can't think of anything else at the moment, other than stock up on Pro-Plus, Red Bull or anything else that can help you stay awake and cope with the 8 hour time difference.

Thanks buddy. How do you pay with switch? I'm on the Real Player site but it only gives me a choice of Mastercard, Visa, American Express etc. But I want to pay by Switch...

I have just looked at my account payment options and it says I have been paying my credit card, but the options are: Visa/Delta, Mastercard/Eurocard, American Express, Switch and Solo. I wish I could give you a page link to see this, but I am accessing my account via the real player help section.

When the season links come up, you should be able to put in the switch details in, when you put all your personal details in.

Did you sign up through the UK Real Player site or the US one?

The american one. When the streaming sign up becomes available - probably next week on the official site, just click on it and fill in all the details. I have been doing it since BB3 and never encountered a single problem.

Okay, I started signing up through the official site for BB9 but it didn't let you use Switch, so I decided not to do it, glad really because BB9 was crap.

But I want to get the feed for BB10. Have a feeling it's going to be a good one.

The BB10 live feed link is now up, realitybbq.com

But like before the only choice to pay is Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover...

Thanks, i'm really looking forward to the new BB USA. I know people didn't really rate season 9, but i was addicted to it on E4.

Well that is really odd, as in my account I have a pull down menu and I can select how I wish to pay and switch is definitely an option.

I shall investigate it and see what I can come up with.

I am back after having a jolly good mooch about.

Now it seems the reason I have the debit card options available under my account is because a couple of years ago I signed up for the UK BB feeds. It also includes debit cards when you sign up on the game page via the UK Real site.

As I said above, I have been using my credit card most recently on Real, but obviously used my Switch card for the UK feeds. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

Only thing I can suggest to people wanting to sign up for the streaming and don't have a credit card, is be extra nice to someone you know who has one. Make them cups of tea and tell them how lovely they look today etc. Just become the biggest creep in the universe and hope they agree to sign up on your behalf to get rid of you.

Alternatively I suppose you could apply online for a prepaid credit card. I have no idea what they are like, so you would need to investigate them and check the small print.

If all of that fails, I expect there will be loads and loads of the live stream being uploaded to youtube every day, so you should catch all the good bits, without losing your sleep.

Okay cheers, Mirage, it's fine I can get someone to pay on credit card for me and I'll just pay them in cash. It just would have been a lot easier if Switch was available, but oh well.

When is the best time to sign up then? A couple of days before? I know you also get the 14 day free trial which is good.
