Strange audio problem on Philips widescreen

When getting audio via a digital source, the sound on my Philips TV cuts out briefly but frequently on continuous tones (so usually background music) - this only happens on DVDs and via the digibox: normal terrestrial telly and the VCR are both fine - any ideas?

I have the same prob......no idea how to fix......must be something on this model

I had the same problem, luckily I bought the TV from Asda who were pretty good, under the warranty they sent out a engineer who just fiddled around with the sound settings, when I told him I wasn't satisfied with just trying to disguise the problem he took it away only for it to be sent back a week later with them telling me they unable to detect a fault!
In the end, I got a refund and bought the next model up (28pw6515) which is fine. I thought it was just me, obviously there is a design fault somewhere with Philips W/S TV's.
