i know what you mean. ten minutes looking at a door isnt the most entertaining thing on TV. and why is whole chunks of speech edited out. we only need one bleep on a swear word. and dont get me started on the so called 'interactive and uninturrupted' coverage. it should get better soon though.

I know! I aggree with cencorship to a certain extent, but that is TOO far! And "uninterupted" is a ball of shit when yuo get ads! And interactive is also a load of crap- We dont get it cos were non-CWC NTL and NTL think we have to be treated like shit when it comes to new services, and ex-CWC get treated like gods.

James, have you considered that ntl would actually like to offer interactive, but there are technical factors involved? In the real world companies don't just sit there and decide 'ooooh, let's treat this group of customers badly cos I don't like 'em'

why are the directors using srtange camera angles. everything is happening outside and the camera shot is near the sink.
as for the censorship issue i think the editors are going too far when you think that the target audience is 16-30's. the controversial chatter is what makes big brother what it is. and that windy noise to cove up swearing. its on for too long and is starting to any me. i dont mind the adverts but the censoring is getting beyond the joke. |

I don't think they are actually censoring the program cause if you care to notice it sounds like a train in the background and its very regular like every 5 mins.

I think the sound that you hear every few minutes is probably Tube trains.

wtf is wrong with you all? it's not some big budget holywood film. what do you expect from something being transmitted live for 24 hours on 3+ streams? if you don't live the LIVE streams just watch shows braodcast in the evenings and you can have it like last series.

I think the people on the control desk need some teaining. E.G.- 9 of the people are outside and 1 is inside. Do they show the 9 outside? NO! they show the one inside!

Yes, but they are looking at facial expressions which they couldn't do if they were in a group.

I've got a good idea for Channel 4. They should give Big Brother Live on the EPG a 12 or 15 or 18 certificate depending on what time of day it is. Then the people who have set up viewing restrictions on their system won't be able to see the program without the PIN number. Does any one agree?
I think this means they don't have to filter out swearing etc. |

I totally agree with the PIN idea, it is annoying and E4 want a good letter of complaint. The shot of the house has now been on for at least 10 mins (at 3:35pm). It started with housemates going into bedroom because engineers fixed somethings, only thing ive noticed fixed is the canopy outside because all they are bloody showing is the house.
They should rename the program "Canopy Watch" this is pathetic. The sound is also on an outside camera feed, and im listening to a pile of trains going along, pity they didnt crash because at least then there would be some other noises. I think a visit to MTV is required. |

Arrggghhhhh
Ok, this makes sense, engineers enter building, camera goes to outside (canopy watch) and then ads come on (the same ones all day repeated over and over, BT and that stupid bloody talking telephone, etc). After the ads we were given more canopy watch and then more ads. Finally i am watching some people after 15 mins and almost switching over to MTV.
E4 needs to learn how to do a "live" show. Get PIN protection on now and stop giving us trains. Also, does anyone else find those stupid BT Cellnet flies very anoying? They say the same things over and over again. I would love to pull them out of the TV and strangle them.

The 'Canopy Watch' is LIVE!!!
When you see the Canopy shots it is the LIVE feed BUT when you see the other feed it's 10 mins delay!

Don't forget that about 90% of Sky viewers hasn't got a clue what their PIN code is (even though all you got to do is look at your viewing card!).
Also, if E4 did protect their live coverage by PIN, from E4's point-of-view they are only aiming at adults and not all ages. This would mean a drop in the price of advetrsing!! Cheers. Mark |

So thats why I got confused earlier then, (with regards to the outside shots being live)
One minute they are all inside locked in the bedroom, the next you see them all outside and an image of Dean sweeping the table, about 10 minutes later this shot has just come up in close up, talk about spoil the continunuity! |

It wouldn't be so bad if they could reduce the amount they cut - 1 swear word seems to result in no sound for about 10 seconds.
I guess it's hard to beep individual words accurately with only a 10 min delay. Personally I wouldn't mind a longer delay if it meant we could get more of the conversations. As for the PIN, one workaround could be to make it a PPV / TV on demand event (for which PIN access can be forced I think) with a charge of £0. Kind of sloppy and complicated but it might work. |
