Great review, says it all for me:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main...bmcohen114.xml

I agree particularly about the Hattie Webb duet. Her voice is so gorgeous and pure and complepentsLeonards' so well, particularly on Take This Waltz .

Watching the whole spectacle I struggle to think of any concert which ticks so many boxes- emotive beautiful backing singers, world class musicians and (imo) one of the greatest poets & songwriters of the last 50 years. And another special mention for the MD and the musical arrangements.
It all comes together to achieve total perfection.

That's a lovely review - it's true that you really are in the presence of greatness - there really are so few people of his stature performing today. I'll certainly never forget last night.

Yeah..I am so glad I took the opportunity to see him in Glasgow...I doubt I will ever see him again but it was a wonderful evening...in the presence of a true master musician and poet ...it will live with me as one of my all time top gigs.

hehe, I have it already - I haven't listened yet as I wanted to see the performance first. An official album would be fantastic though, esp if there were some of the London recordings on there

The current Mojo magazine has Leonard on the cover, and at the end of the article they mention that there are plans to release an official dvd of his show at the O2 in July.
They also mentioned the possibility of having every show from the tour available as an official download. Whether either of these will happen or not I don't know, but it could explain why there have been no t.v. or radio broadcasts of any of the shows this time around. Fingers crossed!

I can't add anything to the above reviews except to add that the shows at the O2 both last night and in July were 2 of the greatest examples of musical & technical perfection I have ever had the pleasure to experience. I am also in love with the Webb Sisters, but I think I am not alone on that!

I bought the Mojo magazone today, hadn't read it yet - that would be awesome if you could download a particular show

My boyfriend was very taken with the Webb sisters as well

Here's my recording of Hallelujah (I sort out the aspect after 30 secs). I annoyingly missed the beginning as I was sorting my camera, but got most of it. I go 'wooo' quite loudly near the end, my apologies

I was quite near the back of the stalls in Glasgow but I thought there were two microphones either side of the stage pointing out at the audience so maybe theres hope for an official recording

It's in the last paragraph or two of the Mojo article, I think.

The current Uncut magazine is also worth getting as well, I think the current one is still the one with the Len cover. There are some interesting interviews with the musicians & Leonard about this year's tours & the day to day side of things.

Thanks Davey, I'll try and pick that up tomorrow

I got my wires crossed, sorry. I was thinking of The Word magazine & the new one came out a few days ago so the Leonard Cohen one isn't the current one. Should be able to get a back issue though.

I am sincerely hoping this isn't true

http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/lates...5875-20919402/

If they Simon Cowellize one of my favourite songs by my favourite singer into a bland X Factor winners song, I will actually be genuinely upset I know Leonard needs the cash, but please, don't licence it!

HahajahahLOLOLOLHaahahaahahah

" She totally made it her own" That is the funniest thing I have ever heard and just confirms every opinion I have ever had about Louis.

Hallelujah was covered on American Idol last series so I suppose it was inevitable that it would follow on XFactor.

Holy sh*t Please make it stop. Didn’t realise she’d done it already, must have missed that one. I’ll be bulk-buying earplugs for the whole of December – if I’m really lucky I can avoid ever hearing it

There are some songs that just shouldn't be allowed to be "Cowellised"...pls Leonard ...you have a few bob now after the tour...block them from savaging one of your masterpieces...its like inviting Rolf Harris to paint a Picasso !

hehe, yes, what was going on there - never seen it done as a happy song before! Oh well, at least she's not in it any more to shout her way through Hallelujah.
