Dolly Parton, Nottingham
What a performer she is, had a great couple of hours at the Nottingham Arena on Tuesday night. If you are going to her few remaining gigs this week then you should have a great time.

Don't know about miming anything, On the big screens I certainly couldn't tell if she was. She does get out of breath and she doesn't dance around like some performers do so being breathless may be a sign of singing live.
Although on many songs she does sound nearly the same as the records, although a few words are altered or even sang differently than the record so at a push I would say no miming, or none that I could make out anyway. Her live version of 'Little Sparrow' was/is awesome. Well worth the £65 each we paid for seats

I saw her in Glasgow on Friday, also saw her last year. She never mimes live.
The way she engages with the audience, making it feel personal even in an arena, puts a lot of other performers to shame. For a 62 year old she's amazing. |
