Stacey always up Sean's arse
I'm really getting sick of it, she always makes this demented face every time she sees him, she's obsessed with him. I wouldn't be surprised if they did an incest story between the two the way she's acting

I don't see it like that at all. The way I see it is that maybe she wants to keep Sean in her life because he's the last real link she's got to her Dad? She's got Jean of course but because of her illness Jean isn't really able to help Stacey remember Brian in perhaps the way she would like to. That's just my take on it

Would you not be concerned if your brother was slowly turning completely bonkers?

I agree, it's ok looking out for your family, but she constantly defends the undefendable. Look at the Gus situation..........she walked in on Gus having been tied to a chair and held hostage while Sean loomed over him ready to batter him to death..................and all she said was "please Gus, dont tell the police"

I agree. Just do us all a favour and let him go kill himself.

what a stupid thread.
he's her brother and she is terrified he will leave her alone again. shes terrified of being alone and being left to cope with her mum alone. sean might not be perfect but its her brother and blood ties are very very strong |

maybe... but stacey doesnt see that side of him/chooses to ignore it.
he is very loving towards stacey and has tried very hard to keep her out of his bad dealings. and seans love for stacey is his redeeming feature |

I think the reason she didn't want Gus to tell the police was because obviously she didn't want Sean to go to jail, so maybe she thought she could perhaps talk to him somehow and get him to sort himself out. And if any of my brothers ended up like Sean, I'd stand by them.

But after the gus incident what did she do to help him get better if she would rather him with her then send him to jail ? Can anyone tell me ONE thing she did ??? |

Exactly. People should stand by their family whatever. Of course it was wrong what he was going to do to Gus and he fully deserved that slap she gave him but naturally she doesn't want him to go to prison. As she said she only has him and Jean and he is her brother.
Wow, your some sister !!! |

I think Stacey is just petrified of losing him. She doesn't want him to go to jail and would do anything to keep him around. Thursday should be interesting (blood).

what does stacey being selfish have to do with the topic. i never even suggested she was in the right from an outsider point of view.
but you would be amzed at what brothers and sisters will do for one another. and stacey is ignoring his problems so why would she get him help? and besides... stacey has proven to herself time and time again that outsiders to the family dont help. she thinks she can cope all on her own, its in her nature |

Anyway sean idn't do anythiong when Stacey came in because he couldn't in front of his sister because he loves her. That must count for something.
Letting her brother off the hook for the occasional bad act is one thing, but letting him get away with trying to slaughter poor Gus isn't being a good sister. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, and having Sean locked up is the kindest, most loving thing Stacey could do. It would be hard for her, but it would prove she really loves her brother enough to give up his freedom so he can maybe get better and justice can be served. As to the OP's original point - no, I don't think this is leading up to incest

I disagree, it counts for nothing. Sean was going to murder an innocent person for no good reason at all and make it look like suicide. Not going through with it because his sister walked in doesn't make that any better. If anything it makes it worse - he didn't spare Gus' life because it was the right thing to do, he spared Gus' life because Stacey intervened. If Stacey wanted to do what was best for Sean, she'd have him sectioned so he can get help. Letting a proven psychopath and would-be killer (well, an actual killer, but Stacey only knows about the attempted murder) walk free isn't helping him, it's allowing him to get worse and put other innocent people in danger.

Well said.
the character of stacey would never get help. she doesnt even want help from anyone with her mum and its totally in character for her to ignore it. she clings to sean as her only "normal" family and she doesnt want to admit his problems. she chooses to ignore seans actions. |

I think they look out for each other, possibly because they had a difficult childhood, having to grow up early after loosing their father and helpin Jean.
For example, he helped her during her meltdown, but now that he is going bonkers she is looking out for him. I don't think it will be incest - Stacey has already got too close to one member of her family! |
