Has Brian already gone? Anyone know who is going the present it till it's axed?

Brian left SM:tv on the 5th July.

From a report on Broadcast...

.........SM:TV, which is currently on air, will run until the autumn. It will be followed in the same slot by SM:TV Gold until the end of the year, which will mix the best elements of a live show with the funniest moments from the show's archive. This will include comedy strands such as "Cat the dog" and "Chums" and will feature former presenters such as Brian Dowling.

It is not known who will present the SM:tv Gold that starts in the autumn, although it hasn't been said that the two other presenters Des Clarke and Shavaughn O'Rourke are leaving, so it could be assumed that they will continue.

There is a bit about SM:TV finishing, in the Media Guardian and the Ananova links below:

Another piece on SM:TV, on the BBC website, they all more or less state the same anyway.

Yes, they've already off loaded Brian, or he jumped before he was pushed.
He's disappeared into the oblivion of Irish television and some late night dating programme...................don't forget to turn out the lights Brian.

They'll have to make sure he doesn't start being foul-mouthed again like on RI:SE...especially on a kiddies programme

Has he not given up the rhyming slang ?

Brian has moved on to a late night show where he slaps peoples boyfriends into shape, that would be SMTV then

Strangely enough I think the FeckArseSlags are one of the groups booked to appear this week so hopefully things will work out fine.

Saw a bit of it - Fed, Vernon Kay and Dane Bowers did a sketch in drag with long, blonde wigs and net vests.

Fed then took part in a charity pop quiz and his chosen charity was The One True Voice Memorial Fund (not really it was for a kids hospital) but he didn't win.

He later dressed up as a member of One True Voice for the "GhostBusted" sketch.
