Orange PAYG - upgrade option on website

Hi there,

On the Orange website when I log into my PAYG account there is an option to "upgrade your phone". On clicking this link I'm prompted to enter a new SIM number.

I assume this allows you to buy a new PAYG phone and keep your original number.

Let's say you have £5 on your original account and buy a new PAYG phone with £10 credit. When you "upgrade your phone" do you end up with your number transferred to the new SIM card along with any existing credit? So £15 on the new SIM.

Can anyone verify this?

Many thanks

Andrew

p/s I did check the FAQ on the site and this query wasn't addressed.

When I was at Orange, all new phones came with a new SIM. The new SIM was paired to the phone number/account so that you kept any credit you had. I hope that makes sense.

Ok, it sounds like Orange transfer any existing credit over to the new SIM.

Thankyou!
