She apparently suffered a broken thighbone and kneecap and has had surgery.Poor girl.

Story on BBC News that nush has been mugged 4am on thursday morning said that she has a broken knee and thigh they have said she is comfortable.

It sounds like she wasn't just mugged, but suffered a very violent assault.

I don't especially like Nush but something like this must be an awful experience. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

It's usually quite difficult to break the femur of a young adult, I wonder how it happened?

It seems she was mugged at 4am near her home.The guy was after her handbag but she put up a struggle and he knocked her violently to the ground.

Must have been an extremely traumatic experience for her and the pyschological effects on her must be considerable.It's not an experience you'd like to see anyone endure.

LONDON (Reuters) - Former "Big Brother" contestant Nush Nowak, a fan favorite on the latest series of the reality TV show, suffered serious leg injuries when she was mugged and robbed in north London.

A police source said on Friday that Nowak's kneecap and thigh were both broken in a scuffle as she was robbed of her handbag by a man in his 20s early on Thursday morning.

"The victim is currently recovering from her injuries at a London hospital after undergoing surgery," a Scotland Yard police spokeswoman said.......

Hope she's not too scarred by the experience although I can't see how anyone can endure something like that without being greatly affected.
I hope it doesn't alter her resolution to be single for a while. She seemed to need time to sort out what she wants from life. Something like this could easily persuade her to fall into the arms of the first chivalrous male who passes her way regardless of his suitability.

I'm sorry but what was the daft cow thinking? First of all walking home on her own at 4am in the morning, and then not giving over the handbag! Surely a life is more important than a handbag! She's a very slight build and shouldn't have attempted to fight the thug on her own, Yoga fanatic yes, Wonder Woman, No!

I don't like her as I have said before but I wouldn't wish this on anyone, I've heard they take a while to get over mentally and I suppose there is a big possibility she won't want to be single now, may feel too vulnerable on her own now. We'll have to wait and see I suppose.. I'm sure Scott will go rushing to her bedside if he isn't already there now!

Just read The Sun online, don't know what to make of this but apparently she was walking home with Scott who she is now living with in Kentish Town apparently. They had been out with Jon and Ray. The attack happened and Scott called the ambulance according to her stepdad! All sounds a bit strange, wouldn't he have stepped in if he was there, surely?

Anyway apparently he is too upset to comment further than saying her injuries will take a while to heal!

Always one just waiting with a comment like that.

How much more serious an injury would it take for you to not call her a "daft cow" ? Broken arms as well ? Head injuries ? Death ?

It's instinct to fight back. The attack was nasty - nobody deserves to end up with injuries like that.

You've "heard they take a while to get over mentally" ???? Is that not an opinion you could have formed all by yourself? Hear this: You NEVER get over it. Especially when there's an extreme level of violence. I was attacked by a man with a knife and hospitalised. Whilst I haven't let it take over my life, I am always wary when on my own at night, and I make those occasions as rare as possible. Unfortunately, it is instinct to fight back. I actually took the knife off my attacker and threatened to stab him, but came off worse after being kicked in the face. I don't regret my actions. I would have predicted that I would have given up my bag without a fight (as I have advised many people to do), but in reality that isn't how it works.

Silly old me, there I was thinking how awful it was for poor Nush being attacked like that but at least everyone on here can agree (for once) that it was a dreadful thing to happen. Ha bloody ha, how naive am I?
The point surely is that a young woman, with (potentially) an exciting part of her life ahead of her, has been viciously attacked. It is a sad indication of the state of our cities that people cannot walk home after a party without risking this sort of thing happening.
I hope that the poor girl gets all the help she needs to get over the shock that she has had, and if she does feel the need to attach nerself to a man as a result good luck to her, after all in some circumstances physical and mental adversity can cement a relationship.

Lets face facts. If Nush wasn't a veggie her bones would be nice and strong, instead there probably as brittle as four tricoms strapped to a juroning stone.

She's also a pseudo Buddhist and they have a "what goes around comes around" philosophy, So we have to ask WHAT HAD SHE DONE TO DESERVE THIS!!!!

I also see a pattern immerging. First it was Nush attacked, and next it will be another BB star. All we can do is wait to see if it just a BB4 thing, or BB in general. I'm frightened just thinking about it. No wonder Alex has been taking such a low profile recently (several months) he probably "knew" something big was going down.

Reasoned argumnet would have been nice rather than a general critisism.

Well my "reasoned argument" would be that a) Nush is NOT a veggie, she eats Fish and also sometimes does eat Meat!
b) Also generally speaking without going into a whole lecture on nutritional properties it's Calcium that is required for healthy bones, eg. Cheese and Eggs etc.

Other than that I just wish Nush well, it's a horrible thing that can happen to ANYONE!!

Actually she was with both Scott and Jon.
