As well as my thoughts being with Nush at this time, they are also with Scott and Jon who I do think a lot of and it appears they were with her and were powerless to stop it. They must be really going through it too at the moment. I know how much they both love Nush.

I would imagine if both Jon and Scott were with Nush they're both beating themselves up about allowing something like this to happen to her.
If it was the main shaft of the thigh bone as it appears to be from the reports, it's usually broken in healthy adults by a high impact injury such as a car crash or a fall from a considerable height.
It sounds as if this was a really nasty assault.
I only hope the assailant's caught before anyone else suffers a similar fate.

I would like to express my shock at some of the posts in this thread... independently of our BB passions... we are talking about a person who has suffered an uncalled for nasty attack. This could have happened or could happen to any of us or our families... Please, some human decency wouldn't go amiss from some FM.

Ah Nushie all are hearts (well most of us on here) go out to you, we wish you the speediest recovery and hope to see you up on your feet as soon as possible. Your friends will be there to support you through this incident and your fans will be thinking of you in their hearts.

She is going to need her friends even more now and what a terrible thing to happen to a girl who is so chirpy and lovely all the time to others. If Scott is the gentleman that we all know him from BB then he'll be there by her side until she is fit and healthy again. He will help her mentally (as he did in the house) and physically by offering his support and encouragement.

P.S. I think someone (probably Scott) was with Nush as they phoned the ambulance for her. I think if a nearby neighbour did it they would have been in the press by now telling their story.

Emm, I've avoided doing this, but this is were the sensationalism comes in. As has been pointed out before, the femur is a particularly strong bone. So yes, the attack may have been so vicious as to cause this particular fracture. She may also be predisposed to bone abnormalities which a full medical examination and history will reveal.

Regardless of the cause, a girl is lying in a hospital bed resultant of a premeditated attack.

Well some posters (well mainly one) hasn't been considerate towards Nush so thats why I said MOST OF.

What a terrible thing to happen to anybody. I was totally shocked when I read about it this morning. Good luck to Nush for a speedy recovery.

It is indeed a horrible thing to happen. Poor Nush, I hope she gets better soon and can put it behind her, with the help of her friends and family.

There were 8,032 assaults in London during June of this year and 3,511 cases of ABH (actual bodily harm?) This is just in London alone. Nush is now one of those statistics. Nush will never read this forum. Lighten up.
Oh and for the record, I doubt the guys were actually with her at the time, cos we would have heard about some mugger being sliced in half by some unknown futuristic trekkie type weapon.

The Mirror has it down as being the fibula not the femur that was broken. This would be less worrying, as they snap all the time, so hopefully that's the case. A few weeks in a cast or hopping on a crutch and she'd be right as rain.

The papers say what they like don't they. I'm disgusted in how they have reported this, they've just sensationalised it! Only the BBC have reported it respectfully as I am aware! Bloody tabloids, I hate them!

Nush is the main one apart from the doctor's of course who will know what she has broken, she'll be feeling it! Hopefully she's in la la land with some painkilling drugs as I 'd prefer to be in her position. The pain she must have suffered doesn't bear thinking about!

That makes much more sense. Simply falling awkwardly from Nush's height would probably be enough to cause such an injury.
I still wish her well though.

What a downer for her.I think this horrible event has negated any of the good that came from BB.

I can only guess that being the victim of such a violent assault will have a bad effect on her self confidence.I wish her well and hope she can eventually put this behind her.

Poor Nush, it sounds absolutely horrific. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I hope she'll recover quickly
