Hi

My 32" CRT TV has a scart out, s-video out, and composite video out.
My old laptop had an s-video connection, so I connected the laptop to the tv using an s-video lead and it was fine.

However, my new laptop only has a vga out.

Does anyone know of a cheap way of connecting a vga-out to either of the 3 options on my TV?

Thanks

CPC do a wee box of tricks which converts VGA in to composite / component and (I think) s-video.

I've got one at work and it works fine although the image isn't too hot through an LCD - as you're using a CRT that shouldn't be a problem

Unfortunately their website isn't the most user friendly.

I've got a catalogue at work and I'll have a look at it on Monday and let you know the part number

Do you mean In or have I mis-understood what you are trying to achieve?

Hi,

cpc.farnell.com is the website.

The model that I have is not in the 2008 catalogue but from memory it cost about £45+vat.

Unfortunately, none of the current units on offer are as cheap as that - they start at £63.50+vat.

Part nos. AV04516, AV12141, AV11968, AV12140

It might be worth looking at the RS and Maplin sites as they are likely to stock similar (and maybe cheaper) items.

Happy shopping !!
