Shortland Street is moving to a network slot!
Carlton have confirmed that they will cease transmission of Shortland Street next week on the 27th or 28th (this date varies according to different listings magazines).
The good news is the show has been picked up by the itv network and will be screened nationwide, the bad news is that no data is available on the scheduling, the Duty office at Carlton stated it will be back in a different form than we are used to and that there are few network slots available and that the network is still looking to place the show. More info show be made available one assumes next week after the last episode screens on Carlton. |

Does anyone know anymore on this yet? I love SS and hate to think that I will have to go without it for any length of time!

Looks like itv network have decided not to screen the show stating it is a regional programme and can only be screened in a regional slot which itv have just removed from the schedule, until they are put back which could be never Shortland Street will no longer be on itv 1.

Yes, this is what ITV told me yesterday
Plus Carlton said that as it had such poor viewing figures, they won't be showing it again either What do they expect with a broadcast slot at 2.30pm?
