Just re-watched Sara's interview (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JOmuTQjFYks) and I have to say I thought Davina would be far frostier towards her, so I was pleasantly surprised. Love how Davina describes her as "an absolutely awesome housemate" And her best bits are great! They make me smile when I watch them. I'm just sitting here grinning away.

Did she say that? No- she said she was confused and might actually like him- both to Rex and to Davina. He laughed out of embarrassment at the question over treating Sara badly. He does genuinely like her and did apologise to her and recognised he had done wrong in the diary room. I thought they both did very well in the interviews and they make a better couple than any of the others in BB9. Though i do think they'll go seperate ways romantically- they were both using each other- she loves attention- he loves to give it. Sara was a "warm-up" for Vanessa. Darnell was a "warm-up" for anyone that'll have her. That might sound bad but i don't mean it in a bad way- i love her and know why she "flirts". Glad she did so astoundingly well. Not bad for a silly Aussie tart newcomer!

At the beginning of the night I think we all feared the worst with Sara out first to a lot of boos.

Beating both Darnell and Rex to come third with such a high percentage of the vote (30.1%) was fantastic. To cap it off it was wonderful to hear the crowd chanting her name. I have to admit I wasn't expecting that. A truly great reception and i'm so made up for her.

Definitely. I thought she'd get 5th/4th place, with a pretty low percentage and boos. So the fact the she came third, with an amazing reception and a high percentage is fantastic!

Sara was never one of my favourites and I do think that sympathy played a big part in her staying over Lisa that week, but that doesn't account for her coming third, at this stage. It was an amazing acheivment for someone who came in so late on.

Does anyone feel davina gave it away, when Rex said he wanted Sara to win, I thought I heard Davina say 'she isn't'?

She must have come so close to winning it. I still think getting so close again to Darnell cost her votes, especially the way it was portrayed in the HLs and the interpretation the likes of Davina McCall put on it, ie. Sara was leading him on.

I even saw a waning in her support on ds as a result and I don't think she got the coverage on the HLs show she needed for the final push. I also think Rachel had a bigger internet fan base who were more likely to multi-vote which really helped her in the end. Added to that I did get the impression that the powers that be didn't want her to win and the closeness of the result has merely re-inforced my opinion on that.

Sara's support still held up surprisingly well and I think shocked everyone with the final result.

I also though Davina would be a lot colder and give Sara a harder time; but Sara was sweet and happy, the crowd was positive, and I think Davina warmed to Sara and her heart melted a bit (um, so to speak).

The best bits were great, and I think that shows that at least some people at BB saw how good Sara was as a housemate.

I think the stuff with Darnell certainly cost her votes, and I think she was a potential winner before all of that. But, 3rd place was still fantastic. People on the main forum who went to the finale tonight are saying she got the best reaction, as well.


Sara was so lovely in her interview, very sweet, bubbly and clearly ecstatic. Davina couldn't be nasty to someone like that!

Sara was a great housemate and I'm so glad she beat out Rex. Was nice to see her getting a good response from the crowd (shame they couldn't do the same for Rachel but that's for another thread...)

Kind of ironic given that I'd read posters on the main forum make jibes questioning what they could find to put in Sara's best bits.

Hi Sara fans. Ive never posted here but id like to pop in and say how pleased I am Sara came third. She was a great HM, and if at any point Rachel had been evicted tonight, I would have lobbed her a vote or two. Congratulations on getting Sara to third! Im soooo pleased she beat Rex, and the only thing that would have topped that for me would have been to see both girls sitting at the end.

Sara vs Rachel would have been my ideal final two. I'm so happy though, because although Sara didn't make the final 2, she came third which is good enough for me, and then to have Rachel winning is just fabulous. A good final night, for me!

Just wanted to say before I finally go to bed, I loved sara from the miniute she entred the house and was voting for her tonight. So happy she got 3rd place, she seemed to be thrilled with it and her enthusism was contagious just look at the crowds reaction to her.
Cant wait to see her on BBLB.
