Really. thought their was a press release about them ceasing the production of their own panel in favour of having a factory unit supplied by Panasonic. I can just see this as a postitive thing for both companies. Pioneer get the reduced overhead of running a PDP production facility whilst maintaining the overall quality of the sets. On the flip side there is going to be a cross-flow of information from Pioneer with reguard to the technical spec on the screens improving the quality for both.

Having a factory units brought in for panels 42" and below yes, but they are still concentrating on their own panels 50" and above.http://www.reuters.com/article/techn...34259620080225
