When they were "towing" the Earth back with the tardis. I thought it sounded really effective? Does anybody know?

I was just about to ask the same, glad I did a search. It was stunning music. I'd love to be able to download that.

I also loved the music they used for the Ood song, if anyone knows where I could get hold of that too, I'd be very grateful.

They are both the same song

The music when the Taris was towing Earth back home was the Ood Song, just an orchestrated version of it.

The music will probably be on the series 4 soundtrack if/when it comes out.

Oh ok, so it was actually composed specifically for Doctor Who? Lol I just assumed it was probably some old classical song I'd never heard of!

Thanks for answering.

Ahhh, that figures. Thanks. Series 3 is available on iTunes, I'll just have to wait for 4. Will definitely be downloading it.

Murray Gold seems to have found an electric guitar from somewhere in recent episodes, I loved the return to the orchestra!

I've just had a listen and I think it's another Murray Gold one. It sounds very similar to The Doctor's Theme, but I can only hear a snippet of that on iTunes. Just beautiful though.

Now this I know the answer to - it's an Icelandic group called Sigur Ros and the track is called Hoppipolla, from the CD Takk.

Sigur Ros, it was lovely to hear their music, but come on, use some different music other than the piece that EVERYONEEEEEEEE uses.

Still love it.

Yes, I'm sure. The problem with the music is that you've heard the same snatch of the track on everything from DW Confidential to commercials to TV sport fillins - it's just a very small part of the 4 minutes and 28 seconds that is Hoppipolla.

I listened to a preview of it on iTunes and I could tell that was the one straight away. Might download it myself, I really like it.
