I have a Virgin V+ box and operate my Panasonic TX-37LZD800 TV with the Virgin remote.

But everytime I swith my TV on I have a blank / dotty screen and the word analogue appesrs and then goes off. I the have to press the input 'AV' button on the top right hand corner of the Panasonis remote which then brings up the message DHMI 1080i & bingo I'm up and running.

Is there anyway I can get the TV to default to this mode when I turn it on, instead of always having to use the Pansonic remote to do this single operation.

All suggestions welcome and thanks in advance.

I have a Panasonic myself, and it seem's their sets don't do automatic HDMI selection, i.e. turn on the HDMI based source and the T.V. selects this input, heh ho, their not the only ones!

I own a Panaonic 32lmd70 and when I turn on my xbox it auto switches to HDMI. I haven't changed any settings so don't know why your TV's don't do this.

Maybe my HD receiver dosn't want to play in regards to this functionality, I actually owned the same T.V. as yourself, but this developed a power supply problem, it didn't auto switch to HDMI if I was wacthing the built in Freeview tuner when I switched the HD receiver on either!. I now have one of this years models, it don't either.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, but it doesn't really look if it can be sorted out.

At least I know there are others out there that share my grief

Thanks again all.
