I have recently started surfing on my laptop using O2's GPRS Mobile web service. It is faster than normal Gsm speeds but i cant use it to send email via Outlook express. Has anyone out there have any problems using this or the other networks GPRS services

It's probably because if you're using your ISPs SMTP server for outgoing mail then the ISP has the server set up to force you to use their dial-in numbers and thus IP addresses... to stop people spamming etc. Incoming POP3 mail servers don't generally have this restriction... so you can use webmail services etc.

Depending on your mobile network, they may have an SMTP server available for your use - I know O2 do because I use it. I can't remember the address now though, either mail.o2.co.uk or smtp.o2.co.uk, I'll check for you.
