The Doctor told Donna that she would die because she was half human and half Time Lord, and that hadn't been done before, for a good reason. But then, shouldn't the Doctor that went off with Rose be doomed to the same fate? And surely a Time Lord/Human hybrid has been done before in Daleks in Manhatten?

Perhaps I'm just getting myself confused. Anyone got any helpful answers?

doctor2 was timelord-human, its different :P.

She had the mind of a Time Lord in a human brain which could not cope.

The 2nd Doctor had some human traits one Heart, Aging and no regeneration but was still mostly a Time Lord.

But didn't the Doctor say there coudn't be a Part Timelord/Part Human combo full stop?

I suppose what it is is that the Hand Doctor could live with the correct mind but a human body- after all as long as the body you've got works it should be fine- Davros was hooked up to wires! But Donna had the wrong mind, so she couldn't carry on.

i was thinking this too until like the other posts i reliased that it was different, the doctor hybrid was human in some traits but his mind was still that of a time lord, where as donna was human with a time lord's mind so i think doctor hybrid would be alright.

Why not use the chamelon arc on her, turn her back to just human, and then remove the human essence of her character from the fob watch and return it to donna..
