what's the .torrent extension? I've never heard of it, which is probably why I can't view the file correctly! Can anybody please help?

Sry...

http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/

You will have to hurry though as the eps staying up is dependent on how many people leave their torrent window open sharing the eps.

I stopped earlier this afternoon because i was pulling at 3k/sec but the idea is that once the people who have finished getting it they leave their window open and continue to upload to people still d/ling it.

I made that torrent a few days ago from files I downloaded via IRC from a Norwegian guy with the nick of _Kingman_ on #big-brother on EfNet. I gave it to the guy who capped all the BB4UK i watched this summer, and he put it on his XDCC server, while I also put it up at www.suprnova.org.

I submitted the second one (weeks 3 & 4) to suprnova this afternoon, but it looks like it hasn't been updated in the last 8 hours. In the meantime, I have it on my own server at http://www.wirtznet.net/BB2US-Wks-3-4.torrent

Will you be putting up the whole series?

It brings back memories, i would definately reccomend people to grab this series while it is up. Infact i may post it to the newsgroups for people to grab.

I do plan to post the whole series. Part 3 (of 5) will probably go up on Tuesday, 4 on Thursday and 5 on Saturday.

Re-watching the series was strange because Will (God of Reality TV) really didn't come out of his shell until after he had no allies left, but when he did, it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. Watching Nicole's descent into madness was fun, too.

I'm not surprised by how much of a downer the last 2 eps were, given that they were taped 15/9/01 and 20/9/01.

Chenbot: Hi Houseguests.
Gerbils: Hi Julie.
Chenbot: How's everyone doing tonight?
Gerbils: Alright.
Nicole: How are you?
Chenbot: Alright.......Been better.

If nothing else, it got Chenbot to show a tiny bit of actual emotion.

Good times, good times.

Just got through watching the first 6 episodes of season 2, I think this season is better than the current season 4 on E4 at the moment! LOL

Favs so far,

Mike

Will ("Good gosh! "Half-man, Half-amazing!)

Shannon (hottie!)

Sheryl (M.I.L.F.!) (now departed)

Can't wait for the other 3 parts!

I've skimmed through bits of the eps recently. One thing i have notice is that the episodes (atleast the first week) are not nearly as scored as what they are now.

If i manage to pick up all eps and anyone is interested then i can put the whole series on a dvd-r for a fiver.

How big is the complete season hwirtz? Im thinking 29 x 110mb = 3290MB ?

Coljj, Your calculations are correct. At 3.2 GB, they'll fit just dandy on a burned DVD, which is how I'll archive them myself.

Oh, and there are 30 eps. 29 were aired, but the one that was slated for Tuesday 11/9/01 was made available on the internet (it's still there, actually). Somebody capped it and it's among the eps I have.

And Longsightboy, don't scare me like that when you refer to "Sheryl (M.I.L.F!) (now departed)". After her eviction, Sheryl was diagnosed with cancer but the last I'd heard, she was doing fine. Your reference to her eviction made me wonder if you knew something I didn't. Thank God for Google, allowing me to do some research to allay my fears.

hwirtz, i have like 90% of the eps in VCD format (iMATiON) and the rest in divx quality.

It would be awesome if someone would get the BB3 DVD boxset (unobtainable for me) and rip the eps to vcd format and then post them on usenet.

I still dont know why they didn't bring BB2 out first though, apparently BB4 will follow a lot closer behind with the DVD boxset treatment than BB3 has.

Oh and i would love to see the BB1 episodes. I never got to see ANY of the tv shows so when Eddie left the house and closed the door that was it for me.

I didn't mean to scare you mate, I actually meant evicted, I didn't know about her health scare, glad to hear she's doing fine though.

I'd like to burn these eps to DVD+R, any .wmv to .mpeg conversion progs you'd recommend?

Nero 6 won't do it (NeroVision Express 2) and neither will Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.... help!

According to the tracker, there's still 3 seeds and 11 leeches for part 2, so you should be able to get it. If you need the .torrent file, use my link above (it was broken, but I just fixed it now).

The final part is now available! You can get it from www.suprnova.org.

If you need the prior ones, fire up your IRC client and log onto EFNet, then join #big-brother and wait for Kut Kreator's XDCC server ad.

I checked this morning and all 5 parts still have seeders running, but it's hard to say how much longer they'll last. Better get 'em while the getting's good.
