Whats the situation with Freedman, is he staying at Palace or will he return to Elland rd, had we had him last year all season i thibnk we would have gone up auto ?
Hope he haS a great night/day at his well deserved testimonal, where i believe some soutern based Leeds fans will be making the trip in their colours to cheer Dougie on and thank him for last season, and wish him the best whatever he decides to do |

You've signed a very good goalie in Southends Daryll Flahavan.

You have a very average squad on paper but if there's one league where average doesn't mean an awful lot it's the Championship.
Maybe not good enough for automatic promotion but as good a tip as any for the play-offs, especially with Warnock at the helm. |

Palace fan here! For my sins!
![]() My initial feeling is we are going to have to go some to repeat last season. We need a striker, someone like AJ who can get us 20 goals plus a season. If we had that last season I honestly believe with the run we went on we could have snatched the second automatic promotion spot. But I have faith in Warnock's wheeling and dealing in the transfer market and with his knack of getting average players to punch above their weight we could be looking at another shot in the play-offs. I think automatic promotion will be too much to ask. |

I'm really pleased with our signings so far, especially Nicky Carle who'll hopefully more than replace the overrated Watson...

![]() Still unsure with Dougie - last we heard he wanted to stay and fight for his place. Wouldn't be surprised if he did leave before the season starts though. Still, my favourite player ever. [/quote]Think you might be right there, as we have just singed Showwumni ![]() (not sure of spelling) so dont look like Dougiecoming back

yes i'm a Palace fan and I think we could struggle. Sure we did ok last season but we are still playing the old kick and rush football with none of it on the deck like some of the decent teams. I think unless we start playing proper football we will always be a bit of a yo yo side, might do ok and go up one year but will never stay there.
We need to do a bit of a West Ham or Charlton and start playing proper football on the deck and passing then we might make some progress. Some work on the ground might not go amiss either |

Hopefully Warnock plays Moses for a few more games if we don't sell him next season.
Isn't this Warnock's last year? |

I just hope we get a decent striker or two in this summer. We seriously lack fire-power. Someone to play off Kuqi would be ideal. |

i agree but it might not be kuqi. daily mirror says he has rejected a one-year deal in favour of a move to german second tier club koblenz, where his brother njazi plays.

Reports in some papers today that Selhurst Park could be sold as the stadium owners, Rock Investments, have gone into administration with debts of £500 million!
![]() Selhurst Park will not be involved in a quickfire sale to ease the money worries of cash-strapped firm Rock Investments, who own the freehold to the stadium. It emerged on Wednesday that Rock has joined the growing list of business to be hit by the credit crunch after going into administration, leaving many question marks over the future of Palace’s home. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), the appointed administrators, could in theory look to sell the freehold in a bid to ease ailing Rock’s short-term money worries. But speaking to the Advertiser moments after Rock’s administration was confirmed, Barry Gilbertson, real estate partner of PWC, insisted there will be no off the cuff decisions with regards to the future of Selhurst Park. “We are only just starting the process so nothing concrete will be decided any time soon", said Gilbertson. “At the moment we just don’t know if we will look to sell Selhurst Park. "The administrators role is to return as much money as possible but that doesn’t mean to say all the assets will be sold in five minutes. "It’s still early days, Rock are in £500million worth of debt so it’s a lot to get to grips with.” |

I'm liking the sound of Ambrose signing - on a free and still only 25 is great business.
