Well done Palace: I was so worried that it would all depend on the last game of the season.

Now, if only we could manage to play successfully away from home next season...

At least we can all now relax going in to the final game of the season - I'd forgotten what that was like!

And hopefully we can look forward to a good summer of decent purchases to strengthen the squad for next season.

For the second year in a row im pleased to say I owe the management at Palace an apology.
I was sure last year Paul Hart wouldnt have a prayer and this year as much as I love Dougie I was in no doubt after the Swansea game we were going down.
Fair play to him and the lads, they have shown real grit in the last few months, the record at home in since Christmas or so is fantastic.
So relieved its not going down to the last game.

yeah, hats off to dougie & lennie... it hasn't been easy and our tactics at times, especially away, have left alot to be desired but it was all about survival when they took over and we have achieved that now...

if we get that away form sorted for next season and with our home form being so strong we should be looking at the top half of the table for a change...

Well , glad this season is finished ( near enough ) makes a change not going in to the last game needing a result .

Sad to see Stockport drop out of the league today , scene of our most famous last day escape .

A mid table finish with a much improved away record next season would do me fine .

Congratulations Palace

I think it has been etched in stone now that whether as a player or manager, Dougie Freedman has been instrumental in saving Palace from Championship relegation. What a legend.

obviously very pleased with the point today, just a pity we didn't
get that 2nd away win. credit to the lads for not giving up
also credit to Barnsley for not rolling over at Bramell Lane..

looking forward to reigniting the rivalry with Brighton again next
season and taking 6 points off of them!

Never in doubt.

Awesome day out. Sekajja's goal is a great way to finish after such a crap away season.

Bring on the Brighton!

Just got back from Hull.

I'm walking along singing a song ...

been talking with mates about that today... they move in to their new stadium in august don't they? wouldn't it be great if we get them at their place 1st game of the season and put our awful away record of this season to bed by sticking 4 or 5 past them!

One year ago today I had my first drink in Sheffield after the bus ride back into town from the epic 2-2 at Hillsborough. I watched the game again this morning.

Sheffield as a footballing city is probably sick of us after the past two seasons!

I wonder if Dougie will give a couple more of the kids a run-out on Saturday now?

Palace 0 Forest 3

awful end to an awful season. happy to see the back of it.

our great support deserves better.

Yeah, good riddance to that season.

The sending off didn't help but we never really showed up. Forest didn't have to run up a sweat as we made it so easy for them.

Dougie has a lot of work to do this summer, I don't envy him.

poor performance overall to end the season but we can all relax now its over...

brilliant support again... gotta hope we can have a much better season next time out and keep far away from that bottom 3...

look forward to a summer of new additions...

What a crap match to end the season.

Should be an interesting summer for sure!

And it's started already -

Dougie's wasted no time, then!

No surprise to see Counago and Mahon sent back. A little surprised by Davis but it's no loss IMO, I have never been a fan of his.

I wonder why Austin was relieved of his duties, though?

think austin got the boot as him & dougie never really got on... there were rumours of a bust-up between the pair, plus he was burleys appointment in the first place...

talking of dougie, this is a great article to read concerning his plans for our future>>> link

Great article. I definitely feel we're in good hands now and that our long term future will be much brighter than of late.
