Finally the season is here.

Doesn't seem much optimism around the place at the moment, but maybe that's a good thing. Less expectation and all that.

Oh and I don't really like any of those potential badges. Choice 1 is the only one that should come close though.

1 - quite like. reminds me a bit of the old eagle we used to have.

2 - i like it but its too "american".

3 - probably my favourite. it includes the date the club was founded, the eagle, the actual Crystal Palace and incorporates the red & blue.

4 - rubbish.


i agree. our defence is far from settled as it is. bringing in 4 loanees for 28 days just adds to that and that is a big concern. But i suppose Dougie might find a gem in one of them and a longer deal could then develop.

Just quickly on the new badges, 1 is my favourite and 2 just behind. 4 is poor and 3 is just cringeworthy. Anyway looking forward to the new season I have full faith in Dougie and think we will comfortably finish mid table. Well why not be optimistic?

i welcome the new signings even if they are short loans... at least it gives dougie options and one of them may turn out to be top class...


as for the club crest... 2 is my fave... its more in your face than the others and bold in its simplicity... 1 is not bad... 3 is okish... 4 is terrible...

We seem incapable of taking the initiative in games and just concede far too much possession to the opposition.

Scannell off, Zaha replaces him. I don't understand that at all.

First loss of the season (2-1). At least players must have been trying, as four of ours were booked.

Well , here we go again same old story , probably one of the easiest away games of the season .

we had 1 corner in the whole match... we have no width at all... the 2nd half was abysmal...

I believe that's now 19 away games without a win.

And to top it all off Brighton have got a last second winner.

that should be emblazoned on our new club crest as our motto...

At least we scored an away goal , which is an improvement on last years dismal away start .

the possession is a big worry... we don't know how to hold on to the ball especially when we are leading a game... we don't know how to stamp our authority on a game without getting overly physical... and we always end up playing too deep when we get ourselves in a decent position and inevitably end up throwing it away by inviting way to much pressure...
