well done to the lads. full credit to the young Southampton team, they gave us a
good game.

another home tie in the Quarters will be great. we'll gladly take on anyone right now!

It was a good night. Saints made it tough for us. We played alot better once we got the first goal.
Easter was very good, as was Clyne and Williams. Good crowd and atmosphere, too.

Not used to winning games in a cluster , four clean sheets in a row as well .

I would like to avoid City, but if we get a home draw I would give us a chance against the other teams still left.
Sattrega
27-10-2011
Yeah, I think City are definitely the one to avoid. I'd be happy with any of the others but you just know it's going to be Cardiff!

Be great to see how the younger lads do against PL boys, especially Zaha who made a mug of the left back in the ten minutes he was on at the end. Williams is a real talent as well and only 17 years old.

Great to see all these academy players coming through.

we do seem to have just about the right mix of youth & experience now.
and Dougie & Lennie seem to be getting the best out of everyone. good times.

i wouldn't mind getting Cardiff in the quarters - a good chance to reach a 2-legged
semi which would almost certainly be against one of the big 5.

no major complaints. another point. another clean sheet. another step in the right direction.
and we're still 3rd.

getting United in the Cup is a blinder! a chance for our kids to shine on the big stage!

Have to be happy with that point I think. Wasn't a great one, but hopefully Portsmouth will be better on Tuesday.

Oh, and Man Utd away should be fun.

fair result overall. neither side deserved to win or lose... is that 5 clean sheets in a row now? and there was me thinking our defence was the weakest part of the team!

the cup draw is brilliant... a shame its not at selhurst but we should get a decent pay day at the very least... but we have nothing to lose so i hope we go for it up there!

I had a feeling beforehand it was going to end all square. I'm happy with the point, Reading have been in good form of late, and we're still proving difficult to beat.

Looking forward to Tuesday.

Agreed , but last year we would lost a game like that 0-1 .

Zzzzzz.

We could still be playing now and that game would still be 0-0. Probably.

Terrible game. But I suppose we need to keep looking at the positives. That's 8 unbeaten in all competitions and 6 successive clean sheets. And 25 points on the board, so halfway to safety!
Think it took us to about January last season to get to 25 points!

good that we're keeping all these clean sheets but a little worrying that we've stopped scoring... very tricky game coming up on saturday too at cardiff who have hit form...

Didn't we play Cardiff a week or so back? This weekend we are playing Leicester on Sunday lunch time. No live TV coverage though.

Think you're in the wrong thread, mate.

Nathaniel Clyne has won the Player of the Month award for October. Link.

Dougie missed out on the Manager of the Month award to Chris Hughton.
