not sure what i'm more amazed about. the fact that we're 2-up at the break, or that ambrose isn't one of the scorers!

Really good win today. Very pleased to see some different goalscorers, too.

Thats 6 unbeaten now. 1 defeat in our last 12 league games. Up to 11th and only 2 points off a play-off spot.

FA Cup 3rd Round draw has just been made. We're away to Sheffield Wednesday.

reasonably pleased with the draw. obviously would have prefered it at selhurst, though.

would be nice if we had a good cup run for a change.

Another player sent out on loan:

Quote:
“Ipswich have signed striker Stern John on a month's loan from Championship rivals Crystal Palace.

The 33-year-old Trinidad & Tobago international will stay with Town until 29 December.

John has made seven appearances for the Eagles in a campaign disrupted by a dislocated elbow which sidelined him for three months.”

Was about to post just that. Not been too fussed about most of the finance stories, but this one's worrying.

I think its inevitable now that we will be selling a few of our main assets in January. Victor Moses is certain to go. Hopefully we can get a really good price for him, there are definitely a number of clubs interested. It wouldn't surprise me if Nathanial Clyne and Sean Scannell are also sold to boost the finances.

yeah, unfortunately i can see that happening, too. thing is, though, if the premiership clubs interested in moses know we have financial difficulties we might not get anywhere near what he is worth. personally i wouldn't sell him for a penny less than £5million but my hunch is he may go for half that, especially if we are in a position where we cannot knock that kind of money back.

Lets hope we get a load more points on the board before the inevitable fire-sale in January as the second half of the season is now looking like one very hard slog indeed!

looking at the games we have coming up and the form we're currently in i'd say getting a fair few points in december is a distinct possibility. but then this is palace we're talking about and we could just as easily go the whole month without winning!

Another blow:

Quote:
“Palace have been hit with the news defender Paddy McCarthy has been ruled out for three months.

The commanding centre-half has had to go under the surgeon's knife in a bid to rid himself of a long-term shoulder injury.

On Tuesday McCarthy had an operation on the shoulder which he first dislocated playing against Doncaster last year.

The 26-year-old has already had an operation on the joint but required further treatment after falling awkwardly during training, which will rule him out until March.

Palace boss Neil Warnock said: "It's a disappointment but he had to have it done."”

Final score: Palace 0-3 Doncaster

Guess the players weren't too happy with having their pay delayed for 10 days! Bitterly disappointing result, especially with how well we've been doing of late.
