our luck doesn't get any better. we've already had to use one of our 3 subs and a shaun derry own goal has put us 1-0 down after 20mins.

Crazy own goal there from Derry.
Sounded like we played well considering the situation. Saturday will be interesting! Bring on Peterborough. |

it was a decent performance from the lads. just seems we have bad luck everywhere at the moment. with the chances we missed any other time we may have got a point.

just read on holmesdale.net that Stern John will be playing his last game on loan at Ipswich this weekend and they have no plans to extend it or make it permanent at the moment. hopefully this turns out to be true as it will give us more striking options.

Could have a problem again tomorrow naming a full subs bench against Peterboro' as Claude Davis (neck), Paddy McCarthy (shoulder), Sean Scannell (hamstring) and Darryl Flahavan (jaw) are all expected to be out while Johnny Ertl (hamstring) is a doubt.

There are two changes from Wednesday's game at St James' Park with Alan Lee brought in to replace Calvin Andrew and Claude Davis takes Johnny Ertl's place. On the bench there is a space for Academy goalkeeper Charlie Mann, while Sean Scannell has recovered sufficiently from his hamstring injury to claim a substitute place.
Line-Up: 1. Julian Speroni; 2. Nathaniel Clyne; 3. Clint Hill; 4. Shaun Derry; 7. Darren Ambrose; 8. Neil Danns; 10. Nick Carle; 15. Lee Hills ; 19. Alan Lee; 20. Danny Butterfield; 24. Claude Davis; Subs: -14. Sean Scannell; 17. Matt Lawrence; 18. Calvin Andrew; 21. Kieran Djilali; 26. Kieron Cadogan; 28. James Comley; 35. Charlie Mann |

Neil Warnock apparently told the administrator on Thursday that the two players he was desperate to keep and not be sold before the transfer window closes were Darren Ambrose (for obvious reasons after the season he has had) and Neil Danns (now we can see why!) Great stuff from the lads.

Scannell on for Ambrose with just a few minutes left. Good to see him back from injury.

Brilliant result and a great way to bounce back after the past few days. Just got to hope beyond hope that we don't lose a bunch of players in the next 48 hours.
