Absolutely brilliant, from start to finish.

Butterfield was amazing, as was Danns. And just about everyone really.

Good noise from the crowd also.

Great day.

On another note, Moses on his way to Wigan it seems. Good luck to him.

Couple of rumours that Moses and Clyne (sp) may be on the way to us (Wolves)

Sounds like you may have made a bid. According to Warnock: "One Premier League club offered £1.5million for Clyne and Moses - they are probably trying to get all my players from playing against them."

But he said a bid for Moses, at around £2.5m is accepted (Sky say it's Wigan).

god, i haven't been so nervous during a 90 minutes for ages! the win was vital but we more than deserved it. danns was great and its no surprise that warnock has made it clear that him and ambrose must stay regardless. was quite poignant when they all went to the centre circle at the end and applauded the crowd.

moses to wigan for £2.5m. hmm, was hoping for a bit more but i wish him all the luck in the world. it should be a good stepping stone for him. we're still gonna need another £1.5m, though, so a couple more will definitely be on their way on monday. i just hope its not speroni as we need him to stay as much as either ambrose or danns.

Been reading alot about Moses elsewhere and depending what you believe its also being suggested that Arsenal may have offered £2.5m for him up front plus another £1.5m on appearances. Pure speculation, though. Wigan makes more sense to me as he will get plenty of games there and as Bandit mentions he can use it as a stepping stone to something bigger.

Also Warnock has said that the administrator will be meeting with two prospective buyers for the club this coming week and that he is hopeful there won't be a fire-sale on Monday as to make sure the club is still an attractive proposition.

i've read that, too. seems a few wigan fans don't yet believe its a done deal and that they will be gazumped. i still think it will be wigan, though.

just heard that southampton have made a bid for neil danns. and so it begins...

There was a fatality on the train line today, so trains were stuck at stations for hours.

I'd just like to say a massive thanks to the Palace fans who gave me a lift to the game today.

wigan it is then for moses...

elsewhere...

The Mail on Sunday says Palace want Tottenham to ease their financial crisis by renegotiating the transfer deal for John Bostock.

The club are in administration with debts of more than £30million and need to raise around £4m to stay in business until the end of the season.

The sale of striker Victor Moses should bring in more than half of that after he was permitted to speak to a Premier League club - thought to be Wigan.

But that would still leave them short and administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has tried to reopen the deal which prompted chairman Simon Jordan to try to sell Palace.

Bostock, 18, joined Spurs in the summer of 2008 amid acrimony as a tribunal set the initial fee at £700,000.

Jordan described the amount for the talented midfielder as the football equivalent of 'a packet of crisps'.

But it could rise to £1.25m depending on Bostock's success and Guilfoyle hopes Tottenham will be willing to settle the deal with a final payment now.

Less than 24 hours to go now until the transfer window closes. Only rumour I've heard and read about today is Sunderlands interest in Nathanial Clyne.

There's obviously going to be some movement tomorrow as we still need another £1.5m according to the administrator.

Have to say I wish the lad nothing but the best, he has been a total gentleman in the way he has handled himself in this whole saga. Its a lesson to many a pro this I think, he has let his football do the talking (when he was allowed to play) and im sure there isnt one Palace fan that doesnt look forward to seeing him flourish.

Nice one.

Still not heard of any other sales yet. Not getting over excited as there could have been last second deals done. Plus, don't we still need to get £1.5m from somewhere?!

Can't quite believe that our only sale was Moses to Wigan. Flahavan going back to Oldham on loan doesn't really effect anything so unless there was a last minute sale or two done without us knowing yet or someone on the brink of buying the club we are still £1.5m short of the £4m the administrator said we needed!

not sure about the financial implications after today but i'm sure the administrators will come out and say something if necessary.

Neil Warnock has spoken out after today's window closed:

Neil Warnock has praised the commitment his players have shown to Crystal Palace after the expected firesale of his squad failed to materialise on deadline day.

Victor Moses was the only player to leave the club permanently after agreeing a £2.5m move to Wigan Athletic, while Darryl Flahavan joined Oldham Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.

Administrators The P&A Partnership agreed fees with Wolves for Nathaniel Clyne and Southampton for Neil Danns, but both players rejected the switches and opted to stay at Selhurst Park.

"I'm delighted the players have stuck with us," he said.

"The administrators accepted an offer from Wolves for Clyne but he declined it.

"He didn't think it was the right club for him and I think he was right.

"It shows he has a bit of faith in us.

"When you look at John Bostock and Kyle Naughton going to Tottenham they haven't played any games.

"With Danns he knew that wasn't the right step for him and his career.

"We are looking for him to step up and take on the goalscoring duties from Moses now.

"He is in great form and we play system to suit him so he can get forward and score."

Much respect to both Clyne and Danns for their decisions today.

Apparently, Agilo, the company who forced us into administration in the first place are now loaning the administrators P & A Partnership £1million to pay January's wages!

Link

This is all very strange. One minute they put us into administration, the next they are loaning out another £1m.

Something to take your minds off the doom and gloom.

There's a campaign about chlamydia on TV, I've seen it on E4 and Dave.

At the end, there's a still shot looking down Holmesdale Road towards the Clifton Arms, with a message about wearing a condom to prevent STIs.

I managed to freeze frame the telly and look it up on Google Maps, it's not my imagination.

WTF?

s'pose it can only be considered good news that the predicted fire-sale didn't happen. not sure what i make of agilo lending us another £1m but i'm sure they wouldn't just throw away good money after bad. maybe they know something we don't like a possible takeover is just around the corner?

if they had a bit more sense they could have waited until the end of the window and then we could have got more money for Moses

the administrator has spoken out...

Crystal Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle is confident he will find a buyer for the financially-stricken Championship club.

Palace were handed a 10-point penalty for going into administration.

It led to teenage star Victor Moses being sold to Wigan for a fee believed to be around £2.5m.

But in the programme for Tuesday's FA Cup clash with Wolves, Guilfoyle said: "I am working flat out to find a buyer and am confident that I will."

He added: "This club, despite its current problems, is an attractive proposition.

"We have an excellent manager, play in a good stadium, we have a superb and loyal set of fans and a good name.

"The 10-point deduction won't help but I'm confident that Crystal Palace will start next season as a Championship club, playing at Selhurst Park with new owners firmly in control. "

Guilfoyle, who works for The P&A Partnership, said the sale of Moses was vital, which was why the forward sat out the recent games against Newcastle and Peterborough.

"The most attractive saleable assets that this club has are its players, " he said.

"You don't need me to tell you what a player Victor Moses is. As a result he was the club's most attractive asset and had to be sold.

"That is why I asked the manager not to select Victor Moses for the games against Newcastle and Peterborough. I could not risk him being injured."

Guilfoyle said getting new owners in would have a big bearing on the Eagles' ability to keep Neil Warnock as manager.

"I have been talking to Neil on a regular basis, he is the manager of this club, and I want him to stay on," he said.

Well, at least Guilfoyle seems confident. I've not heard of any parties, people or consortiums being definitely interested. Its all still heresay and speculation.

With the players we have I can still see us finishing in the top half of the table but its vital that Warnock stays in order to achieve that IMO.

I just hope we start to hear something concrete about any takeover soon.

Looking forward to the game tonight. Big incentive for the boys with Villa awaiting the winner. Hopefully we really go for it.

Good first half from us. Definitely been the better team so far. Just need that clinical finish.

thought Nick Carle had scored, that was so close! we've done well but we must keep it up and Davis needs to keep his concentration, a couple of times he has looked dodgy at the back.
