We have a tough run of games away from home to start with!
Newcastle down at Selhurst for our second home game. Should be fun! |

sky sports website reporting that southamptons, bradley wright-phillips is a possible target for neil warnock.
and apparently the freddie sears loan from west ham isn't a done deal. even though warnock hopes to have it all sorted by the end of next week, there could be 3 or 4 other clubs interested in him, too. |

from sky sports: Quote:
Former Sheffield United striker Danny Webber has revealed that he has received a number of offers to play abroad this summer, but favours a move to Crystal Palace.
The pacy forward left the Blades at the end of the season and has been linked with a switch to Palace, where he would link-up with Neil Warnock once again. And Webber told skysports.com that, despite receiving a number of offers from abroad, he would prefer to stay in England. He said: "I am speaking to a number of clubs at the moment and I've had a few offers from abroad as well, but I'm currently talking to a couple of clubs in England about joining them. "I've had offers from various countries to go and play there, including Spain, Turkey, Australia and Greece, but I've got a lot more ambition to fulfil in this country before I consider going to play abroad. "If it felt right and the club is ambitious, which Neil always is, then I would definitely consider going there. "Obviously I have worked with Neil at Sheffield United, so linking up with him again would definitely be something I would be interested in." |

I wouldn't mind seeing Danny Webber in a Palace shirt TBH. We seem to have been linked with him for ages, now.
Also, in a couple of the tabloids this morning, Freddie Sears is saying his prefered choice would be to come to Palace for a season loan. |

In our situation I'd be fairly happy with those signings.
The Webber thing does seem to have been going on forever! |

Have to admit that when Speroni was number 2 to Kiraly, I didn't think he was good enough to ever be our number 1. Very pleased to be proved wrong, he's been brilliant for us.

from the south london press: Quote:
Palace have ruled out a move for Charlton striker Andy Gray claiming he is too expensive.
The Eagles say they will not move for the experienced forward because they cannot meet his wage demands. Palace boss Neil Warnock had initially expressed an interest in obtaining Gray's signature having worked with him whilst in charge of Sheffield United. A move, however, looks unlikely according to Warnock, who says the cash-strapped club would not be able to match his current wages. |

No loss IMO. I'd much prefer the likes of Danny Webber than Gray.

Palace have confirmed their interest in signing Leroy Lita. The 24-year-old is available on a free transfer after departing Reading.
I'm glad to see that Warnock seems to be making it a priority in getting in strikers for next season. |

Always thought Lita is a good goal scorer in the Championship so a good signing if we can get him.
I still believe that Morrison leaving last season was one of the reasons we faultered near the end. |

Would love to get him, but surely we've got no chance of affording it

Warnock has said that Lita's wages would be the stumbling block if he did want to come. That probably wouldn't be a problem for Boro'. We'll have to wait and see...

latest from the croydon advertiser: Quote:
Crystal Palace are considering moves for Jerome Thomas and Eddie Johnson and have handed youngster Matthew Wright a one-year deal.
Former Charlton forward Thomas was released by Portsmouth on Wednesday and is now searching for a new club ahead of the coming season. Fulham striker Johnson still has two years remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage, but is deemed surplus to requirements and spent last season on loan with Cardiff. The agents of both players have contacted Eagles boss Neil Warnock, who is now considering whether to offer either player a chance to shine. |

We seem to be linked with just about every free player at the moment.
